Occupy LA's Best Signs (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

The Huffington Post     First Posted: 10/08/11 10:39 PM ET   Updated: 12/08/11 05:12 AM ET

It is Day 8 of Occupy LA (the movement conveniently started in Los Angeles on October 1, which makes it very easy to keep track). More and more participants are flocking to downtown's City Hall and more and more cameras are coming out. There are children, animals, food trucks, tents, donated bottles of water, and most importantly - signs. The Huffington Post headed into the heart of tent city today to find the very best creative writing thus far at Occupy LA.

Below: Video of Occupy LA's sign procession.

Among the signs that I saw at a protest:

"Corporations aren't people unless Texas executes one."

"If corporations owned the sun, we'd have solar power."

It seems like their pickiting the wrong people. Corporations are the ones that give people jobs or you make no money! The politicians, and regulators are the ones who put corporations out of buisness!!!
Have you people not seen all the closed buisness in your towns????

Corporations also take away people's jobs, as "Roger & Me" showed.

Money. Out. Of. Politics. That's the bottom line. That's the thread that will unravel the whole sweater if we pull it. That will put the corporate cronies in the Congress and the Senate out of business, make the lobbyists go look for real jobs. Get the money out of politics, and repeal Citizen's United.

They really should be protesting at the White House.

No, they really should be protesting at the capital. We have a majority in Congress who hates the elected President more than they love America or care about it's citizens. Consequently, they do everything they can to destroy him. The majority currently in congress, and the corporate money that funds them, are the two biggest problems we have in this country right now. They don't have any ideas, they don't have any agenda beyond "destroy Obama." Every American should feel slapped in the face that those yokels were sent there to do the people's business and all they're doing is attempting to take things from bad to worse because they think it will benefit THEM.

Just what the country needs, hordes of smelly wannabe revo-hipsters from back in the day running around messing our cities up yet not a one could most likely even pay their own utility bill without momma's help.

I walked down to Wall Street and sixth in LA. There were tents and cardboard signs and people living on the street. And there have been for years. It's their home. And that's the reason we need the occupy Wall Street movement in the USA. It's a national disgrace. And the 400 richest families have more wealth than the bottom 50% of America. Call it whatever you want. It's unjust.

Why is it unjust though? Maybe more of us should make better attempts at financial success as opposed to extending our palms and expecting cash to fall into them? Apparently some have been able to provide for themselves and locate their own American Dream, why can't the rest of us do the very same?

The system is rigged. People like Willard Romney are born wealthy and then become wealthier by buying companies at fire sale prices and breaking them up, shipping jobs and equipment overseas. To call him a job creator is a farce. He's a job destroyer.

Most of the 99% play by the rules and work hard, only to get screwed by the Enrons of the world. 50,000 manufacturing plants have disappeared in the US since 2000. I don't think these people expect cash to fall in their palms, but they would like to be paid what they are worth.

So true. Every morning 99% of Americans do wake up on the wrong side of capitalism.

i think people are pissed that the govt bailed out banks yet theyre still drowning and the rich are still rich and the hard working middle class have nothing now.

Speaking of 99%....that's precisely the percentage of protesters who have no idea what they're talking about.

Many of these signs are just left wing propaganda being repeated by mindless sheep. I love the signs being carried by children. Start the indoctrination early.

I guess their employers are just good decent folk as well to give them the time off, as much as they need , to protest. In my eyes, 1000's of jobs just opened up for the other good, honest , decent unemployed folk.
