Oh look another straw poll... which doesn't give any delegates for the actual Primaries or Caucuses. Seriously, if you've seen one straw poll you've seen them all.

Though I do have a question, is there anyone who has won more then one straw poll throughout this process? I have not seen much in the way consistancy with these polls.

Louisiana: 1st
California: 1st
Ohio: 1st
Iowa: 2nd
South Carolina: 1st
Value Voters: 1st

I've participated in many political events, including straw polls where Paul was a candidate. To "blame" his winnings on a "well organized campaign" is completely hegelian. Pure and simple: he has a MESSAGE AND RECORD that resonates with the voters that take time and money on their OWN accord to show up, self-organize, and put their money where their mouth is, just like their candidate of choice.

Ohio was 5th, South Carolina 6th? But your correct about consistency with the others. Look, there are things I like about Ron Paul (pulling troops, full audit), really I do, but limiting the scope of Brown v. Board of Education, abolishing minimum wage, repealing the Soil and Water Conservation Act and privatizing education.

You Cain vote for an unashamed Christian man of faith, who is a proven successful CEO & business leader, a proven & stellar JOB creator, a uniter, a real "rocket scientist", an experenced economic/leader/guru/phenom, with top monetary policy advisor experience, A man who is an anti-socialist, anti-jihadist, anti-regulatory, anti-big goverment, pro-Constitutionalist, pro-Liberty, pro-Life, pro-Business, pro-Jobs, pro-Domestic-Energy, pro-Peace thru-Strength, AMERICA FIRST & non-apologetic PATRIOT...

Or, you can vote for 4 more years of FAILED stimulus, more-jobessness, FAILED-Economy-Policies, FAILED-foggy-foreign-policy, A man who has been anti-business, pro-tax, pro-class warfare & a social divider, pro-deficit-spending, pro-socialist believing, pro big-government growing, anti-Constitutionalist governing, "lead from behind" American-apologist...

You Decide...

I am voting Herman Cain 2012...
May God Bless America & help us RESTORE THE REPUBLIC !

Herman Cain robbed people blind when he was a director at Aquila http://atlantapost.com/2011/05/25/a-real-reason-to-be-mad-at-herman-cain/
He's a flip-flopper http://speakup-usa.com/?p=2102
He worked for the Federal Reserve. I don't trust him at all.
Ron Paul has never flip-flopped, he has been consistent for 30+ years, he always follows the Constitution and he's always looking out for the American people.

"an experenced economic/leader/guru/phenom"

You lose credibility when making delusional statements such as this. Read Cain in his own words on Sep 1, 2008 regarding the state of the economy:
http://004eeb5.netsolhost.com/hc126.htm

Please do explain how a man was promoting the good news about the economy only 2 weeks before our entire economy nearly collapsed!

Here's Cain turning a blind eye away from the housing bubble:
http://www.mrc.org/bmi/commentary/2005/Commentary_The_Media_Say_the_Economy_Is_Horrible_So_It_Must_Be_True.html

Is this the candidate whose judgement you trust?

Ron Paul won this weeks Value Voters Summit straw pole & Cain came in a strong 2nd..BUT... Paul's foreign policy & national defence policy approaches are absolutely NUTS. We have had Jihadist bent on the distruction & subversion of the rest of the world for centuries now and have fought us ever since the birth of our nation, bent on the establishment of a worldwide Islamic Caliphate. To close ALL foreign military bases & to allow Iran nukes is CRAZY and SUICIDAL foreign policy....

ISOLATIONISM Policies brought us the likes of 2 world wars and the rise of the Cold War against Communism in a sort 30 year period...

Herman Cain agrees with Paul about monetary policy & auditing the Fed but knows that the Fed should be fixed, not just ended because it can do one good think & that isTHIS, help create monetary policies to stop foreign manipulation of the U.S. dollar on the global money markets & exchanges...

"To close ALL foreign military bases & to allow Iran nukes is CRAZY and SUICIDAL foreign policy"

Not only is his foreign policy not crazy or suicidal, Paul is absolutely correct. Think about what you're saying in that statement. Are you honestly that schizoprenic that the country who spends nearly the same amount as the rest in the world combined on military should be frightened by a 3rd world country half way across the world with no air force or navy and no delivery mechanism for a nuke that they don't have? This is delusional!

He's not saying "allow' them to have a nuke. He's saying it's none of our business. And furthermore, how would you suggest you guarantee Iran doesn't get a nuke? There's only 1 way... invasion. Are you prepared for another war? Even ex-Secretary of Defense Robert Gates said war with Iran would be crazy. So, what's your solution?

Also, his policies of free trade, voluntary associations, open diplomacy, etc... are NOT isolationist. In fact, they're quite the opposite. Embracing a policy of sanctions, embargoes, pre-emptive war, subsidizing brutal dictatorships, etc... are policies that are more closely aligned with isolationism than Paul's policy of non-intervention.

You really need to stop falling for the war propaganda.

"Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it"....

The Ambassador to the the "Pasha of Tripoli", (The Jihadist leader of the Barbary Coast) told Thomas Jefferson & Ben Franklin, then ambassadors of the fledgling U.S of A. that it was the duty to bring about a world wide Islamic Calipahte in which all other nations would either submit to Allah, pay ransom/tribute to Allah, (as we were sending over 10% of our then GNP in ransome to Islamic pirates that were capturing our merchant ships and sailors at the time), or to fall to the SWord of Islam...

NOW in mordern times with one nuke could Iran or its terrorist allies, wipe Israel of the map, and or kill MILLIONS of Americans, which is "ImAnutJOBS" stated goal...

Now I am not falling for propaganda... I am just listening to what the enemies of our nation are TELLING us... And taking it to heart....

vast difference between isolationism and non-interventionism. uncanny that of all the monies coming from the military to campaigns, paul receives 71%. soldiers who take an oath to uphold and defend the constitution are disgusted with their commanders-in-chief who do not. paul is their president. are you to imply those fighting in foreign countries don't know first hand what our tyranical foreign policy does to america?

I'm Indie and I hope this guy gets in, cuz I'm voting for him. I don't agree with anybody on every single issue but he comes close, and makes so much sense, and it scares the hell out of people. Bet my life, he gets in, people actually would really! see a Change. Ron Paul, all the way.

“Dogma voters†is the more fitting label. “Values voters†is a label invented by people who like to think of themselves as championing good human values. What many of them are pushing actually is dogma. “Values†are “the principles that help you to decide what is right and wrong, and how to act in various situations.†Cambridge Dictionary of American English. “Dogma†is “a fixed, esp. religious, belief or set of beliefs that people are expected to accept without any doubts.†Id. The two, we can only hope, overlap to some extent, but they are hardly the same. Some of what religious fundamentalists hold up as values others find plainly wrongheaded and even immoral. Labels count. Those pushing the “values voters†label hope it will help them pass off their dogma as values. If they want to push their dogma, that’s their right. But “dogma voters†they are, and that’s what I’ll call them.

Being realistic Ron Paul has absolutely no chance of winnning the Republican nomination. Mainstream Republicans would never vote for a Libertairian for starters but his advanced age is another strong drawback. Besides that, although he does come up with some good ideas occasionally there are just too many off the wall type things that would scare voters away.

LOL!

Ron Paul's biggest troII ("Icky Sticky") on this article is an anti-se-mite, just read through a few pages of his comments. And he's constantly calling other people names when they disagree on anything.

Perhaps Icky knows deep down that he's a h.ate-filled small man, and people like RP bother him because he's honest, decent and Icky just doesn't measure up in any way.
07:40 PM on 10/09/2011
I hope he is not anti-Semitic cuz that would be disappointing ... I'm going to peruse that a little further because I like what he has to say on so much.

Don't waste your time worrying about that guy. One day Nurse Ratchet will discover he's been using her computer and he'll be given a "Time Out" from the day room.

Please help me this Mainstream media coverage has left me totally confused. The result of the value voter straw poll is supposed to be unfair somehow because more of Ron Paul's voters showed up than anyone else's.How do you win if they don't show up? Also, Tony Perkins seems very unhappy that Ron Paul brought 600 folks with him to the conference yet Tony got $99 from each of them to attend. He could have stopped them at the door and refused to take their money but he didn't.He even offered a $50 discount for students. Then after taking their money he badmouths them in the media. It seems the value voter guy doesn't have any values.
Another thing I'm confused about is if these other guys are top tier couldn't they bring along a bus of their own supporters?

By their attendance at this bigot party, every Republican just lost my vote! Judging by his followers, that Jesus guy must have been a real ZERO!

Keep getting Ron Paul's positive message out there! There's no point in arguing with people who aren't interested in the truth and who won't ever vote for Ron Paul. There are still people out there who haven't heard his message. Enlighten them.As Ron Paul always says "Freedom is popular."

All you've got is Slow White and the 7 dwarfs running on the GOP ticket. That's why you need to suppress the voters in Democratic, strategic, electoral college states. There's no way you can win without cheating. I know it, you know it.

And your boy Paul, 76 years old and dried up like an old prune, is not going to cut it. That's why the GOP was trying desperately to recruit Kris KrispyKreme. They can see you have nothing more than a cast of presidential NOPEfuls. So, based on a conviction rate of .00003% related to voter fraud, the GOP concocts a scheme to use voter ID to disenfranchise primarily Democratic voters, arbitrarily denying their right to vote. In addition, the GOP is now refusing to send absentee ballots to soldiers overseas, as well. Why would you make it harder for servicemen to vote, GOPers? What are you afraid of?

Do you really have to cheat to win? I thought your message was that 90% of real Americans agree with your r3!ch wing policies? If so, then why can't you win with an honest and fair election?
