Courtney Stodden's Tweets Are Fascinating

What on earth is going on here?

Call her what you will -- child bride, fame hungry, the next Heidi Montag -- but Courtney Stodden knows how to commandeer her strangely growing audience. Under the Twitter handle @CourtneyStodden, the 17-year-old alternates between Bible quotes and writing lurid notes about her "pink-sugary, cotton-candy bod" with such mind-blowing speed that it has my co-worker calling the output performance art. I'm more inclined to compare it to a train wreck -- deeply disturbing but fascinating; creepy yet I want... more. Stodden's some 38,000 Twitter followers might agree.

For a seventeen year old girl, who speaks as a woman, I see an intelligent person. I do not belong to facebook or any other social network, so I can only judge her (and I don't like to judge anyone) by her words from the internet. She has a knockout body and I think that she will be a wonderful wife to Hutchison and a good mother to any children should she choose to be a parent. I'd like to learn more about her, but not from biased stories by people who don't like her lifestyle.

I don't know why. Do you? I didn't finish high school, but I went on to make a very good living. I know several highly intelligent people who have gone on to earn their phd. and one of them is working at the towns recycling center earning minimum wage. My other friend is driving a truck for the local newspaper delivering bundles to stores and to paper boys houses. Neither can repay their student loans.

So, in the real world, education doesn't mean very much. Is there something about this young woman that irks you? Is it that she will go on to earn good living by using her body and mind? I'd like to hear your position on this.

She has potential. I suspect she'll surprise everyone, perhaps being popular in Asia, or some other wildly profitable niche most Americans wouldn't understand. Already, she's in a marriage statistically likely to outlast most other American marriages, if not indefinitely. But most people can't see out contrarians out-succeed the common masses.
