This weekend, thousands flocked to the Marina in San Francisco to catch a glimpse of the famed Blue Angels at for the 31st annual Fleet Week San Francisco.

Military ships crowded the bay as planes roared overhead, shaking the ground and painting the sky with red, white and blue smoke. Around town, men and women in uniform wandered the streets, visited with veterans and performed demonstrations for the local crowds. On Sunday, 150 members of the military joined The Marine Band on the field of the 49er game, while an F-18 flew overhead. The 49ers' 48-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers made the mood even more festive.
