8 Netflix Changes We'll Probably See Next (PICTURES)

The Huffington Post     First Posted: 10/11/11 01:24 PM ET   Updated: 12/11/11 05:12 AM ET

Even after Netflix backpedaled on their confusing decision to separate their streaming and delivery services, the damage had already been done. They decided not to launch Qwikster after all, but trust in the company had been damaged after much back-and-forth and public backlash.

Somehow, we don't expect it to end there. If the last few months are any indication, Netflix has a few more missteps left in them. Here are our predictions for Netflix's next few changes, and what will happen as a result.

That's very creative, frank. I guess that's a cue for me to say, "I know you are, but what am I?"

I'm really angry at Netflix. I can't have streaming; I need my DVDs! I joined Blockbuster but their classic movie collection starts at maybe 1965. Horrible selection.

It's like Netflix had so many loyal customers, and just pulled the rug out from under us.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it, Netdix!

They should let you rent videos from a kiosk in a fast food joint. They could paint it red and call it QuikBox.

When I go to the grocery store, there are more people around that DVD box than Wall Street protesters. What's the deal with those things, anyway?

Oh man, when blockbuster was charging $5 for a 3 day rental, redbox was offering the same new releases for $1/night.  Return to any redbox the next day.  It's a steal compared to the old rental system.

Was this supposed to be funny??? FAIL.

Maybe try a Photoshop contest next time, because these were HORRIBLE.

Not one of these jokes is at all funny. You should hire all of my friends who are funny.

It's still a good service. They need to concentrate on their selections and look into becoming a provider.

It is increasingly clear that whoever owns AOL and the HuffPost clearly has economic interests in their competitors. This article is idiotic and ridiculous. I have checked out Hulu and all of the other online entertainment services, and Netflix is clearly and indisputably way ahead of the rest. They sure are making some mistakes, but their selection is vastly superior to the rest of them, and their prices are more than competitive. $7.99/month is less than the cost of a single movie ticket; heck, it's less than the cost of a drink and popcorn. And their service runs much, much better than the others. Sorry, but this is absolutely abominable and dishonest journalism. Huffpost should be ashamed to run such dribble.

Digging on Netflix is the cool thing to do right now. As for which service is better? It all comes down to content. I read earlier today that netflix had recently added a bunch of new movies and TV series, so I will be cheking it out again. I subscribe to both Netflix and Hulu+, because they both have different content.

I do, too. I just started Hulu+, but I don't know. None of the ABC shows will stream through my Xbox. It's very frustrating. I very rarely have a problem streaming Netflix.

Not meaning to sound sexist, but I may cancel my Netflix account if they don't stop acting like some neurotic chick fearful that she's soon going to be dumped.

That's the point. Concentrate on what's working, evolve those services. Always the hard way.
