I'm not one of those people who thinks that an actor has to look exactly like the person they are portraying. Its about getting the essence of the person right. This article is dumb because the subject of the article is inane.

Why does everyone keep attacking Michelle Williams for playing Marilyn Monroe? I understand that she doesn't look like Monroe, but she's an amazing actress so why not give her a chance? I think she will do a great job. There are other actresses that could have played her (and no, I don't mean Lindsay Lohan who has become a complete wreck) but none have the talent that Williams does. Just chill out already.

I think Lindsey Lohan should have played Marilyn. She isn't half the actress that Michelle Williams is, but she has the right looks, neurosis and persona.
