Baby Chimp Dances Until He's Dizzy (VIDEO)

Remember when you were little and you would stretch your arms out and spin until you got dizzy?

Apparently that's not a uniquely human pastime.

Meet baby Milou from the Sanaga-Yong Chimpanzee Rescue Center in Cameroon, Africa.

The adorable little chimp spins and spins until he plops to the ground in a dizzy daze. Also, make sure you don't miss the flash of those big brown eyes and, wait for it, camera kiss at 0:46.

According to the In Defense Of Animals website, the rescue center cares for 72 orphaned chimpanzees, and their mission is "to help ensure the survival of chimpanzees orphaned by the illegal ape meat trade."

Me and my friends all did that when we were kids. Why not chimps?
The urge to feel an altered sense of mental and physical space is pretty universal.

I can't help but feel in watching this little one that his behavior is stress related as a result of being without his mother.

For those of you that think this is cute, step up and do something for these wonderful creatures. You may not be aware of it, but your government and private corporations use chimpanzees for heinous medical experiments you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy. If you don't believe it, see the movie "Earthlings", which documents such activities. If you can make it though the film, you'll be changed forever.

Get involved to stop the torture of animals by humans.

Too true. I tried to watch Animal Cops but just can't. I admire people who can, because only by seeing and understanding can things be changed. Just donnnnn't understand how people can be cruel to the most innocent of species. It only through our love and support that they survive and that's all they ask for. Oh, it makes me physically ill, shame on people.

What a joyful sight. Pure 100-proof living spirit. Yes, I remember discovering these ways of getting high all by my own body. Or say, on the schoolyard swings, the ones that went up way higher and farther out.

Seeing this beautiful 'Boo' getting high in the body. First spinning one direction and kinda floating down to the ground up and hey let's get radical and go the other direction. Around and around and down we go.

You know as well as I that everyone likes to feel "high" inside, likes to feel that elevated, open feeling of free-ness. Giraffes like it too. They eat the leaves of a 'special' tree. And they get high as a kite. It's a "natural" instinct to seek elevation of body and mind. Change the body chemistry. Change the mind. Alter the consciousness from one kind of steady state to a loosening up of that steady state. The sense of openness - clarity.

Just so. I wonder how many on this site are old enough to remember the old metal maypoles in schoolyards, with a number of chains hanging down terminated by double rung-like handles? Everybody runs around until the centripetal force lifts you off the ground and the harder you kicked off the higher you flew....what a rush.

The only video I could find has a short maypole with only about four chains and the girls don't seem to know how to use it.
