Kelsey Grammer: 'Housewives' Show Is His Gift To Camille

Kelsey Grammer stopped by the Australian morning show "Sunrise" Tuesday to dish on his new show, "Boss," and -- reluctantly -- his recent divorce from "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Camille Grammer.

The couple's relationship woes played out in the spotlight, thanks to Camille's role on the "Housewives" reality show. When asked about Camille's frequent remarks about the split, Grammer said: “In my mind [the show] was my parting gift to her. It was a very difficult marriage and a very difficult decade. I thought, ‘So long, here’s a present for you.’”

Ongoing drama including custody battles, gag orders and Grammer’s marriage a few days after his divorce to flight attendant Kayte Walsh has kept the former couple in the media spotlight. The TV stars were married for 14 years before they split in February 2011.

Grammer was allegedly miffed that the talk show aired footage of himself and his ex-wife in happier times. According to a report by "confidential reporters" at Australia's Herald Sun, Grammer reportedly blasted "Sunrise" producer Mark Beirne following the segment, calling Beirne “a vile person" and "a sick dog." The report also claims that Grammer threw profanities at the producer after coming off the air.

Kelsey Grammar is, and has been, an addictive compulsive person for decades (his ex-wives and ex cast mates can attest to this). His self imagined "greatness" prevents him from seeing his own character flaws and taking any accountability. HE is the one who wanted a trophy wife -- no one forced him to marry Camille. He is also the one who cheated and lied while still married (with a woman who's father is years younger than he!) His new wife is his "current drug of choice" and once he realizes he's still just another 60 year old man (who lies about his age and everything else) and is still facing mortality no matter how young his latest acquisistion is, the "high" will wear off, and this marriage will be over too. If ANYONE is "a vile person and a sick dog" it's Grammar himself. No one in my family will be watching his new show - none of us can stomach watching him at this point!

He needs to stop talking. If he really wants to look like the better person, the kinder one in this divorce he should take the high road. He made himself look bad when he callously left his wife and children for a young stewardess. He could have handled that situation much better. If he was miserable in the marriage and wanted out, he could have separated, given some space and then had the affair. But he acted instead in a totally selfish uncaring way, and now by making potshots at his ex-wife he just looks worse. It is best for both of them to not comment negatively about any of this in the press, for themselves and for their children. Grow up Kelsey!

Grammer is about as balanced as a poorly made top. He will never be able to control what he says, never be able to control his narcissistic tendencies, It isn't that he acted in a selfish uncaring way, but that he is a selfish uncaring man. He is damaged goods.

He's right... that show WAS his gift to her. She's completely without talent... a former soft-core porn "actress" who did the bump and grind on Club MTV to "make it" on TV. Please. People sure hate working don't they? Thank Vishnu for "Reality" TV I guess... how ELSE would these idiots make any sort of living? Even though I'm an Atheist, I resolve to pray for an end to the idiocy that is "Reality" TV.

Oh yeah...divorce happens -- for Grammar about 5 times now. His long history of throwing one woman over after another as they get a little older speaks volumes. He's a 60 year old man (who lies about his age and everything else) and believes above all else in his own "greatness."

I find him so unbelievable now, especially when I remember him singing Camille's praises before. Check out this interview he gave to Garth Pearce about her from back in the day:
How are you enjoying married life with Camille?
"I’m loving it. Camille is a talented women. She is very good for me and I like to think that I am good for her. We have been married now for three and a half years. This is my longest and beats them all by 300 per cent. When we were first married Camille was battered by the press, which I thought was pretty irresponsible. They said a lot of nasty stuff and it wasn’t true. She didn’t know how to deal with it and was deeply hurt. Now she’s much better adjusted to the whole deal but there are still wounds that never got addressed." Guess he's changed his tune.
