If Latinos and blacks are allowed to have pride in their heritage, white Europeans should be allowed to have the same pride in theirs without hearing screams of 'Nazi' or 'gas chambers'...Most whites enthusiastically endorse the idea of Latino and black pride but the moment its suggested that they should champion their unique heritage then they shrink away from the idea, due to the barrage of arguably anti- white propaganda they are subjected to since birth- propaganda pushed by the forces of the pro- anybody- but- white crowd. So in this sense, we have a massive 'reverse' racism at work.

Whites Americans are "allowed" to say that they are Italian, Irish, Greek, etc without fear of being called unpatriotic or divisive.

this is when they are allowed to celebrate their culture, not their whiteness

Eva, your heritage is best experienced in Mexico. I'm black and my American heritage is extremely important to me, too. I see illegal aliens and Mexican Loyalists, like you, a threat to our American heritage.

In what way is she a threat to your supposed American heritage? She's not an illegal, she's a first generation American and very close to her Mexican heritage because of her parents. She also donates a great deal of money to organizations that support the poor. In what way is your American heritage important to you, the fact that you have a high degree of patriotism? Patriotism in all its forms is dangerous because it reduces the importance of all other countries and places yours as the best, when it's not.

There's nothing wrong with believing that your country is the best, anymore than believing that your parents are the best, your wife or husband is the best, or your kids are the best. You just do it in a way that does not infringe on other people.

Latino Chauvinism or nationalism is part of the threat. 20 more years of this near open borders policy, and our cops will be just as corrupt as in Mexico, and our southwest national forests will just be burned out cactus stumps.

Aren't you proud of your African heritage too? Perhaps you do not identify with your ancestry as Eva does with hers? But that does not mean that she should do as you do, does it?
06:19 PM on 10/13/2011
No sir, there is nothing for me to be proud of Africa. Do I recognize that's where my ancestors came from? Yes. However, my heritage is America, not Africa. I'm a nativist of this country besides the Indians.

My issue with Eva is not so much she have pride for her Mexican heritage but she push it in a way to put Mexico first, and then America second. If she so proud of her heritage in Mexico, how she doesn't "go there" and speak out against violence? How come she's not challenging the Mexican government over the plight of her people there?

What she do is, use the platform in America to promote her people in Mexico. That's not America values. That's an attitude of solidarity with Mexicans, and them alone, on U.S. soil. That's what you call a Mexican Loyalist, not American. The fact she lives here and having experience a good life, courtesy of America, makes her a cheap Mexican-American to promote her Mexican heritage as if it trumps America. You wouldnt see her moving to Mexican and being apart of her heritage. She won't be speaking out on Mexico soil. Shed do it in the eagerly confines of America. That's a coward.
