Keith Olbermann: Brad Drake An 'A--hole,' O'Reilly A 'Psycopath' (VIDEO)

First Posted: 10/13/11 09:56 AM ET Updated: 12/13/11 05:12 AM ET

Keith Olbermann was especially feisty during his "Worst Persons" segment on his Wednesday show, going hard after Bill O'Reilly and even swearing on air.

Olbermann went after O'Reilly for his interview with Tavis Smiley and Cornel West. He played a clip of O'Reilly trying to control the combative duo and essentially failing. Calling him a "psychopath with a comb-over," Olbermann said that the "wake for Mr. O'Reilly's credibility" was to be held soon.

But Olbermann reserved even greater scorn for Brad Drake, a Florida state legislator who recently proposed to reintroduce executions by firing squad and electrocution in his state. Drake openly admitted that the idea came to him from a man he met at a Waffle House, and told a local paper that, if it was up to him, "we would just throw them off the Sunshine Skyway bridge and be done with it."

"You first, asshole," Olbermann said, going on to call Drake a "sociopath" and a "death fetishist."

The true faces of evil, OLBERMAN, ED, MAHER, SORROS, MOORE, EMANUEL, BEHAR, GARROFLO, STREISAND, AXLROD, JONES, WATERS, FRANK, BIDEN, REID, PELOSI, WRIGHT, AYERS, STONE, SALZBERG, GEFFEN, BALDWIN, AL (STEWART SMALLEY) FRANKEN, CONYERS, RANGEL, DODD, CHAPPAQUIDDICK TED, BILL (CIGAR) CLINTON. In the last FEW years we have seen an end to SADAM, OSUMA, QADAFI, MUBARECK, democratic rule in the senate, governors and 600 state legislatures. Come November the biggest booby prize goes, along with whats left of the DEMocRATS in the senate. Happy days are here again.

Funny how the Dittoheads and Beck-istanis get so upset when someone from the progressive side says outrageous things, but cheer at their radios at the hateful filth and garbage that Limbaugh, Beck, et al spew. Conservatives have incredibly thin skin.

I've watched segments of Olberman's program on iTunes as a podcast many time. You can even download it onto an iPod/Pad/Phone

You mean LooneyTunes, not iTunes, right?

Don't you mean LooneyTunes instead of iTunes?

If you have an O'Reilly or a Beck, you will have an Olbermann at the other pole. That is perhaps a cosmic law. I like Keith, and I agree with him about Congressman Drake and Mr. O'Reilly: but none of them are doing much to elevate the debate, now are they?
06:13 PM on 10/14/2011
False equivalency, citizen. Ask yourself this, who started this brawl, and what have they done to bring it to this level?

Look to the far right and Wall Street and their stooges in the for-profit corporate media. Look to a certain house on C Street, and the lobbying firms infesting K Street. You'll find the perps aplenty there, and unapologetic to the point of pathological hubris.

He's pulled out the "A" word more than once on the new show. Must have FX's standards. Fine with me. An unfettered Olbermann is a Foxican's worst nightmare.

He's like a 3 year old bully, hardly intimidating, just ridiculous.

Then don't watch. You probably don't agree with what he says, so you don't like him.
04:54 PM on 10/14/2011
Say what you want but I’ve rarely seen people with that disagree him on Olberman show as opposed to O’Reilly's

I noticed that too. I was surprised at just how many Republicans and TP'ers were afraid to appear on Keith's show.

A show with no guests. A host with no friends. If it wasn't KO, it would be very sad.

Argumentum ad populam is always a fallacy no matter how many times you repeat the neurotic behavior, no matter how many different ways you try and phrase it.

Clearly you are a man with no *facts* to bring to the table, only a pathetic effort to try and shoot the messenger for daring to bring you (daily) unwelcome news.

I think when Glenn Beck held his last rally that was planned as a big event, and about 50 people showed up, it awakened even he to the fact that he is so over with.
02:33 PM on 10/14/2011
LOL - I have to agree with him.

People get mad @ how Olb says things but they can never prove him wrong. In my book, that's free license to say whatever however. Maybe a lot of people should get over themselves and get the stick out of their you-know-what.

Besides, there's only ONE way to address someone like Brad Drake. And KO got it right on the nose. I see no problem.

Keith is the best in the news business hands-down. Chew on that, haters. {{-_-}}
02:46 PM on 10/14/2011
Bingo. Mr. Olbermann calls 'em like he sees 'em, a sure-fire way to get the heads of *authoritarians* to explode like shotgunned tomatoes.

Well... I consider myself to be on the more conservative side of the coin, I still found this entertaining. Reminds me of the Jon Stewart, or Glenn Beck. Political entertainment.

He has good cause, citizen:

http://www.republicanoffenders.com

900+ *documented* lies about WMDs and debunked claims of connections between Saddam Hussein and 9/11, billions in taxpayer *cash* still missing and unaccounted for in Iraq, defective body armour, rotting food and contaminated water served up to our troops in Iraq courtesy of the no-bid contract for Cheney-crony KBR, ad endless nauseum.

Yes, he is very angry, and Mr. Olbermann along with any other honest American has just cause to share his rage in equal measure.
