Netflix To Stream All CW Shows

Posted: Updated:

Netflix now owns the right to stream all CW shows until the 2014-2015 season. The agreement includes all present and past episodes of the shows currently on air, including more than 700 backlogged hours of "The Vampire Diaries," "Gossip Girl," and all the other trash that's been steadily infiltrating our lives for more than 700 days. 700 days! That's more than two full years of Serena pouting and those vampires sleeping with each other's significant vampires. Netflix's recent coups include rights to "The Office," "30 Rock," AMC's "The Walking Dead," and the development of an original show starring Kevin Spacey. We're thinking this expansion into lower brow (ergo even more popular!) content is just another way of twisting the knife in Blockbuster's cold, dead heart.
