No one expected Wall Street to support the President this coming election cycle.  This President represents the the people of the United States and their effort to turn the nation around. His opposition represents those who wish to further divide us into those who have, and have naughts. The 99% have not begun to stand up for this President yet . After the opposition picks their nominee, the masses will  Read More...

The president knows WS is in trouble so he is TRYING to distant himselfs from the crooks now.
he knows OWS will grow bigger so let mitt romney face them.
It might be a smart move politicaly but it is better to cut the ombilical cord now than late.

Obama will win, even with a -25 approval rating. Considering the current backlash against Wall Street, I don't see how he could accept a large chunk of change without the Republicans using that against him. Shouldn't we view Romney's war chest as proof he's in the Banksters' pocket?

Sickening... And it will continue because 94% of elections are won by the candidate who spends the most money to make gullible voters think the real issues are gun control, abortion, gay marriage, deficit spending, government regulation and any number of other emotion-based, personal freedom issues, that once the election is over take a back seat to the dirty business of corporate purchasing of competitive-advantage legislation, privatization and outright corporate welfare tax breaks. Sickening...

To: Presidential Candidates for 2012

I remember you wanted to privitize Social Security which would defund it. Why not use what money you have and put it to the stock market and you'd get rich since this should work
you say. Thus no need to touch Social Security Mr. Romney.

In Bible Hezekiah killed his children but repented greatly and God put him back on throne. I am against death
penalty so innocent do not get killed
and Exodus says do not kill the
innocent. Jesus in New Testament asked God on the Cross to forgive murderers. Will you? A Christian.

Did you object to poor needing safety net programs in warm weather states. Can't go in winter with no cash.

Old age seniors get around $900 per year cut off from State Supplement funds. Medi-cal cutting a lot of medical benefits. Will you object so people can live ?

Also in April 21,1998 SF Chronicle it shows 6 counties Welfare 3 months. LA GA 5 months. Sacramento 3 months.

Michael Manning says shelters have
long waiting lists and Miami,Florida
shelters 2 wks usually 3 days. See
homelessshelterdirectory.org. If
Google SF Free Eats chart it shows a
terrible lack of food for poor. Can
Google other city food websites to see
awful lack of food too.

The aged and unemployed not a Burden because of buying power. Their Guaranteed incomes would help prevent a Depression. V. Devereaux 63 The Government of a Free Nation. Eva Hart. A Christian

The $900 cut in State funds is in California. Sadly and regrettably not much of a compassionate and decent response of my scarce food, shelter, job resources in US of my 1997 Report not NY any radio or TV people or media. Not from this website of bloggers. Even with Google website evidence of scarce food no one Googled the websites to support my scarce food, shelter, and job issue. So sad and regrettful. Eva Hart. Because we don't have publicly funded elections, where candidates would have to stand on their PUBLIC SERVICE accomplishments, what we have now is "MIRROR, MIRROR ON THE WALL, WHO'S THE BIGGEST HO OF ALL?

that goes to show us who is the puppet of wall street and people should open their eyes comes voting time. he should not be in office or we will continue to have this greedy corporation/people running the government.
03:40 PM on 10/17/2011
No surprise here, Romney is one of them. This is the reason why people in this country are so mad!
Every day we hear about how many millions of dollars are paid by corporations to fund political campaigns. Corporations don't want to pay taxes, they don't want to hire American workers, but they will sink millions of dollars into Washington DC for lobbyists and poliitical campaigns, and the politicians changed the rules for campaign financing so that they don't have to report where the money is coming from. This system is totally corrupt and it needs to stop! Our government is supposed to be for the PEOPLE, and people are NOT CORPORATIONS! In addition to that, the campaign money is spent on the MEDIA CORPORATIONS: that means WE will be bombarded with NEGATIVE SMEAR COMMERCIALS EVERY TEN MINUTES from now until the elections are over in 2012!

If we don't stand up for us who will?
08:17 PM on 10/17/2011
The problem is congress responds to where the money is. We as individuals have no clot with Congress, But if we were to be a very large group, as with AARP but for all voters, we would be able to get them to listen... Changing the rules to where they work for us can happen but it will take so many of us...

It's sad that the American People actually need a union to negotiate with their Congressional representatives...We definitely need election spending limits so that we can elect some NON-millionaires, who actually understand what the rest of us go through in "real life".
