In an LA Times profile on Kenny Wormald, the newly-minted heartthrob sheds a little light on how he is approaching fame.
Most of the article hangs on his kind of freshness, his formative years as a back up dancer for Justin Timberlake and Madonna, his thick Boston accent, which he supposedly played up because "chicks dug it."
And although he's sitting pretty with a surprisingly well-received "Footloose" revamp under his belt, Wormald assures that he is no diva-to-be.
He recalled an unsavory instance that put things into perspective: Mariah Carey insisted that her assistant hold her straw while she drank.
"I don’t want to be like that,” he said, shaking his head. “I want to be how Justin [Timberlake] is. He talks to the people at catering. He looks people in the eye."
