Occupy SF Protesters Fight With Police In Justin Herman Plaza, Five Arrested (VIDEO)

Occupy San Francisco Arrests

First Posted: 10/17/11 01:55 PM ET Updated: 10/17/11 01:55 PM ET

Occupy San Francisco protesters and police clashed violently on Sunday night after protesters relocated the tent camp to Justin Herman Plaza in the Financial District.

Police informed protesters that they were not permitted to camp at the plaza, but protesters refused to remove the tents. According to OccupySF.com, police then arrived in riot gear and removed the tents and loaded supplies into public works trucks. When protesters attempted to block the trucks, officers pushed back against the line and a physical shuffle ensued.

One protester was arrest for battery on a police office, while four others were arrested for resisting arrest.

Sunday's altercation followed a weekend of protests throughout the Bay Area including marches that drew 5,000 to San Francisco and 2,500 to Oakland. Monday marks the one-month anniversary of the Occupy Wall Street protests.

There was no police brutality in any of these videos. Unless you go by the San Francisco definition, in which police brutality occurs whenever an officer touches someone.

Interesting that we have time to arrest protesters but not financial execs that committed historic fraud and melted down other people's jobs and the economy.

Arrested for resisting arrest! Next the police-puppets will be killing as many freedom seeking Americans as they can.

The actual charge isn't resisting arrest. It is either interfering with a lawful arrest or obstructing a law enforcement officer from doing his duties.

you were there? i've been arrested and subsequently only charged with resisting arrest. maybe you haven't. if you don't know what folks were actually charged with, you should probably investigate a bit before showing your ignorance. meanwhile, i made no actual claim to knowing the exact charges in sf on this particular day (though i actually do know about some of the exact charges... from the mouths of those arrested)

And you Leftists said how peaceful this protest was going to be and you were going to obey all lawful police orders. BS! These people deserved to be arrested for failue to obey a lawful police order.

OWS has been peaceful, the only violence has been coming from the cops.
