Donn Adams Allegedly Told Louisville Police He Drank Two Pizzas Before Car Crash

Man Had 'Two Pizzas To Drink' Before Car Crash

Louisville police became suspicious of an apparently confused man who said that he had "two pizzas to drink" for lunch, according to TV station WLKY.

Donn Adams' car was in a ditch when officers arrived at 10 p.m. on Saturday. Based on his alleged disoriented behavior, cops suspected that Adams wasn't sober.

Adams denied being intoxicated, but admitted that he took Suboxone, a medication used to treat heroin and opiate addictions.

That explanation wasn't good enough for police, who asked to search Adams' car.

He turned them down, but officers said they saw syringes -- perhaps filled with heroin -- in plain sight inside the vehicle. Adams responded by saying the needles were probably left behind by a forgetful friend, according to WLKY.

Police charged him with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

In Adams' defense, it's not entirely impossible to drink pizza. An Illinois microbrewery makes Mamma Mia Pizza Beer, advertised to be the "World's First Culinary Beer." The brewers steep real margarita pizzas into the mash to make the beer.
