North Korea: Occupy Wall Street Movement Shows Capitalism Is Doomed

North Korea Occupy Wall Street

10/18/11 10:46 AM ET   AP

SEOUL, South Korea -- North Korea is bragging about its socialist system, saying the Occupy Wall Street movement shows that people are fed up with capitalism's ills.

The official Korean Central News Agency said Tuesday that the worldwide protest movement was attributable to the "extremely acute socio-class contradictions" created after the global financial crisis in 2007.

The agency said in a separate dispatch Tuesday, titled "Capitalism has no Future," that worldwide events never unfold the way imperialists want them to.

The agency reported that North Koreans are proud of the country's socialist system because it is ruled by science and will continue to flourish in the future.

North Korea is one of the world's most impoverished nations and relies on outside aid to feed many of its 24 million people.

The DPRK is a despotic nation due to it's monarchist leader Kim Jung Il. It is no workers paradise, but America's future under Herman Cain. It is a workers hell.

The way the article is written made me LOL.

"The agency reported that North Koreans are proud of the country's socialist system because it is ruled by science and will continue to flourish in the future.

North Korea is one of the world's most impoverished nations and relies on outside aid to feed many of its 24 million people."

Socialism is not the problem. The system of so-called socialism practiced in North Korea does not resemble the socialism practiced by democratic socialist countries and that works quite well.

Sorry Sir Jong II, it shows democracy at work....like it or not, we are allowed free speech (as long as we remain law abiding). Please tell me this: if this was going on in Korea, how many tanks would you be ordering to run over and kill the demonstrators??

Wow, what an endorsement. He should worry about his own country. Our pets live better than the north Korean people do.

Democracy in action....the Wall Street occupation......and….. the free speech by the North Korean leader on the Wall Street occupation. Can Kim Jong Il ponder on both these occurrences and ever allow his people similar indulgences? Nevertheless, it is refreshing to know that he keeps abreast with the current events in Americas...for one day he might just adopt these principles of democracy in the governance of North Korea.

It is almost comical. The only officialy Communist regimes still surviving are North Korea and Cuba. The two countries most vociferously attacked, sanctioned, isolated embargoed by the US.

North Korea then followed up in a statement renaming two months of the year after the Dear Leaders Mother, and demanding that all clocks in the country show cranberries rather than numbers.

It's not capitalism that bothers me. It's the broken system that we have put in place and the money that is in politics. Get the money out of politics and change wall street back to where they gamble with their own money and not the money of their customers.

Capitalism may be declining, but it's doing far better than Korean-style Communism....
