Pixar Lamp Halloween Costume Makes Us Love Pixar Even More (VIDEO)

Someone had the brilliant idea to dress up as Luxo Jr., Pixar's trademark lamp mascot, for Halloween -- and it's taken the Internet a full year to take notice. But thank goodness we did, because in the wake of "Cars 2," we need a Pixar Halloween costume that reminds us why we love the animation studio so much.

Luxo Jr. has appeared in multiple Pixar films since its 2-minute short film debut in 1986. Perhaps its most memorable appearance was in "Toy Story" as the lamp that knocks Buzz Lightyear out of Andy's window.

Also of note is that Luxo Jr. was created when a young entrepreneur named Steve Jobs bought the company that would become Pixar, which then was more focused on selling hardware. After Pixar visionary John Lasseter created Luxo Jr. to demonstrate the computers' capabilities, Jobs redirected the company to focus on its creative output. So if you dress up as Luxo this year, do it for Steve.
