Jacob Rocke, 26, and Carmen Lopez, 22, Arrested For A String Of Robberies That Included Starbucks

A couple arrested for robbing two Starbucks locations in Arvada may also be responsible for a string of nearly two dozen others beginning in August, according to police.

Jacob Rocke, 26, told police he used a pellet gun to carry out the hold-ups and Lopez said she had drove his getaway car for more than a dozen robberies. Both are now facing felony robbery and menacing charges and are being held on $10,000 bond each.

On Friday, Lopez's birthday, the two allegedly robbed two Wadsworth Blvd. Starbucks locations only an hour apart and retrieved more than $1,000.

"He enters these restaurants, armed with a gun, he has very elaborate Halloween type disguises, he wears gloves, this individual knows what he's doing," Denver police spokesman Detective John White told KDVR.

Though Rocke wore a ski mask, used what appeared to be a real gun and demanded cash, no one was hurt in either robbery.

According to the Denver Post, Rocke is already serving 12 months probation for pleading guilty to menacing, assault and cultivating marijuana last November. The Post reports that Lopez has no criminal history.

Police arrested the two at a Lakewood Hotel on Saturday around 5 a.m.
