Emma Stone Talks Panic Attacks And Crying Around Her Idols

While she may have celebs lusting after her, Emma Stone still gets star-struck from time to time.

"The Help" star, who before she was uber-famous suffered from panic attacks, covered UK's Stylist Magazine to share how she deals with meeting her idols.

As it turns out, she's gotten pretty good at keeping cool around most, but there are some -- director Cameron Crowe, "Saturday Night Live" creator Lorne Michaels and actor Tom Hanks -- who are just too much for the red-headed beauty.

"I zen myself up these days, and I’ve got pretty good at it. The only time I flip out is when I’m not prepared. If I’m caught off guard, I can’t help it; I start gasping for air. I’ve actually cried in front of three people because I was so blown away to be in their presence: Cameron Crowe, Lorne Michaels and Tom Hanks. Hanks didn’t see, thank goodness. I turned and rushed away, and he’ll only know about it if he reads this interview. However, with Cameron Crowe, I cried right in front of him whilst shaking his hand. How embarrassing."

She's beautiful, humble and she used 'whilst' in a sentence! What a girl.

Given the lapses in proofing articles here and elsewhere on the net, I wouldn't necessarily blame grammatical errors on the person being quoted. Besides, no one is perfect, and this article didn't say she was. As for her choices of people she chokes up in front of, well, we all have different idols, hers are no better or worse I'm sure than mine.

She's a blonde. Not a real ginger. She does look better with the red dye job though. I'm a ginger so I can comment. Either way she is a very talented and good looking actress. I know she will have a very long successful carreer. She's very good in comedy in a low key way; I'd like to see her do dramatic roles.

She's a Scorpio, that's why. Too passionate.

Please, she didn't use "whilst" -- the British press is notorious for changing Americans' quotes to reflect British usage and slang. (That said, I still think Emma's great.)

"She's beautiful, humble and she used 'whilst' in a sentence! What a girl. "

She also said, "I’ve got pretty good at it." When it should be "I've gotten pretty good at it."

Not saying she has to be perfect, but let's not make her out to be when she isn't.

She certainly doesn't live the life of someone who has panic attacks. Hummm...wondering if she would actually know one if it actually hit her...

What an a-holish thing to say. I'll be sure to tell my very wealthy friend who suffers from the same disorder that she must be imagining it because some dunderhead on a forum implied wealthy people can't have mental disorders. Get outta here.

I think they more meant a famous life and not necessarily a wealthy life. Still not really too accurate though, it's entirely possible to be famous and have panic attacks. Look at celebs like Adele etc who get so worked up about performing that they puke before taking the stage.

Uh duh grinninsnews...try reading. I was saying that people who have panic attacks, at least the ones I know, don't get out and about as much as Emma Stone does. They seem to be a bit more homebound. I did not imply that wealthy people can't have mental disorders...READ.

I don't know what's worse - the panic attacks, or the outlook that says people like Cameron Crowe, Tom Hanks, and Lorne Michaels are worthy of someone just choking up.

Doesn't say much for a sense of proportion.
