World Series Game 2 Cardinals vs. Rangers: LIVE UPDATES As Jaime Garcia And Colby Lewis Face Off

World Series Game 2 LIVE UPDATES

Thanks to an all-out effort from starting pitcher Chris Carpenter, a timely pinch-hit by Allen Craig and some typically frenetic pitching changes by Tony La Russa, the St. Louis Cardinals have an early lead in the best-of-seven World Series. Playing before a supportive home crowd at Busch Stadium, the Cards will look to claim a commanding two-games-to-none edge in Game 2.

The Cardinals give the ball to left-hander Jaime Garcia, who has become an integral part of the Redbirds' rotation over the past two seasons. Meanwhile, the Rangers will turn to veteran righty Colby Lewis to get them on track. Of course, Lewis can only do so much if the Texas bats stay quiet. Aside from Mike Napoli's home run, the Rangers were quiet at the dish in the opener. Nelson Cruz did not pick up where he left off in the ALCS and Josh Hamilton seems hindered by injury.
