Denver Weekend Agenda: Zombie Crawl, Fetish Ball And '80s Ski Party

I hope you love a good theme party, Denver, because many of this weekend’s best events - even the ones not Halloween-related - include busting out an alter ego.

Scream Scram: Dress up Fido in one of those embarrassing costumes, then find a matching one for yourself and join in the fun in this 5K through Wash Park. Get creative because prizes will be given out for best costume in six categories, including pets. Proceeds benefit Boys & Girls Club.
Fri., Oct. 21 at 6pm; $40/adults, $25/youth
Wash Park, S. Downing St. & E. Louisiana Ave.; 303-892-9200 ext. 120

Broad Comedy: Split your sides at one of two shows performed by this barrier-breaking, energetic female sketch comedy troupe. We suggest securing your tickets early as they have a history of entertaining sold-out audiences.
Fri., Oct. 21 at 7pm & 9pm; $25
Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret, 1600 Arapahoe St.; 303-293-0075

Jason Aldean: Check out Jason Aldean's big green tractor during his "My Kinda Party Tour" with Chris Young, Thompson Square and DJ Silver.
Fri., Oct. 21 at 7:30pm, doors open at 6:30pm; $40+
Pepsi Center, 1000 Chopper Circle, 303-405-1100

Denver Zombie Crawl: Denver's undead population is impressive and bound to take over eventually, so choose Team Zombie and crawl through the streets with hordes of ghoulish fiends. Register online to give coordinators an idea of a head count … whether they're attached or not.
Sat., Oct. 22 at 2pm; free
Skyline Park, off 16th St. at Arapahoe

'80s Ski Party: Dig through to the back of your - or your parents' - closet for that ultra-cool one-piece ‘80s snow bunny ski suit and celebrate the decade of pure ski style. Tickets include your beer (until it runs out) and bar specials; all proceeds benefit E.P.I.C. Foundation.
Fri., Oct. 21, 8pm – 2am; $45 prior, $50 at the door
Mile High Station, 2027 W. Colfax Ave.; 720-946-7721

MileHiCon: Sorry, trekkies... this week's sci-fi convention is of the literary variety, including genres such as fantasy, horror, anime, filking, publishing and more. There will also be a massive sci-fi and fantasy art show featuring over 50 artists and 900+ pieces. Once again, this is an event celebrating masquerade with prizes handed out in multiple categories.
Oct. 21 – 23; $18/day, $42/pass
Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center, 7800 E. Tufts Ave.; 303-779-1234

Victorian Fetish Ball: Stilettos meet Dracula at this massive, provocative bash that begs you to come out of any inhibited shell you might reside in. 100+ entertainers will be in attendance including a fire eater, professional dominatrix, snake handler, burlesque performers, contortionists, body painters and more. Stick around for the erotic after party.
Sat., Oct. 22 at 9pm; $39/women,
Diamond Cabaret, 1222 Glenarm; 303-571-4242
