Kim Cattrall's Daring New Roles

Seasoned TV viewers may know her as Samantha Jones on "Sex and the City," but Canada's up-and-coming screen talent will soon know her as their guiding light.

The Canadian Film Center recently announced that award-winning actress Kim Cattrall will be sharing her expertise through master classes and workshops as mentor for the CFC Actors Conservatory, Canada's first professional level training program. In a press release from the CFC, the 55-year-old actress stated, "As a longtime supporter of the Canadian film industry, I think it's so important to nurture and champion our local talent. I'm really looking forward to mentoring the residents of the CFC Actors Conservatory and helping them push their careers further."

The Toronto International Film Festival is also taking note of Cattrall's illustrious career with a presentation entilted "In Conversation With...Kim Cattrall" on October 24th. Cattrall has worked with noted filmmakers including Roman Polanski, Brian De Palma and John Boorman, and won a Golden Globe award, two Screen Actors Guild awards and five Emmy nominations for her critically acclaimed "Sex and the City" role.

As a CFC Actors Conservatory mentor, Cattrall joins the likes of Edward Norton, Patricia Clarkson, Guillermo Del Toro, Kiefer Sutherland, and Larry Moss.
