www.people.com:

Michelle Obama, who is encouraging the nation to work out as part of her "Let's Move" campaign, has revealed the tunes that get her motivated.

"I always love Beyonce, so anything fast-paced that she's doing is a good one for me," Obama said in a video response to questions from the "Let's Move" online audience. "But I have very eclectic tastes, so my playlist on my iPod, which I listen to, runs from fast paced to a little more mellow."

I guessed Beyonce before I read the story. I think our First Lady is amazing and her cause to try to make America healthier should be recognized with some type of award.
Too bad nasty fat people like Limbaugh can't say one single nice thing about what she is doing and call her despicable names instead.

Nice lead-in photo of the first lady.

Fifties music is great for working out -- great beat and songs with personality.

Well you work out to that the First Lady and the rest of us might prefer something more current!

Current is great, as well.

Music is music, current or old.

When working out, it is the beat that is important. I work out to all kinds of music, but lately I have been working out to fifties music, because the beat is great and very adaptable to low- or high-impact workouts. Interestingly enough, in aerobics classes, people respond really well to those fifties songs -- and there are very few people - if any, in fact -- in the classes who were alive when they were popular.

By the way, the finest music we have is very old. Those who learn to appreciate classical music will always return to it for the majority of their music-listening hours.
