Bayview Protests Police: Coalition To Stop Police Brutality Rallies In SF (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Bayview Protests Police Brutality

On Saturday, Bayview residents gathered at the intersection of 3rd Street and Palou Avenue -- where Kenneth Harding was killed earlier this year -- to protest police brutality, as reported by IndyBay.

The protest was in solidarity with others around the nation, including protests in Fresno, New York and Chicago. The protests are part of the Coalition to Stop Police Brutality.

While the protests have occurred every year since 1996, Saturday's protest was especially significant in the wake of alleged police brutally surrounding the BART police, the death of Kenneth Harding and Charles Hill and the SFPD's raids on the Occupy San Francisco tent camps. One Occupy San Francisco protester joined the Bayview residents with a sign reading: "Bayview, you're not alone. Occupy SF Stands behind you against police brutality."
