Guy Cuts Off Parking Meter With Saw? (VIDEO)

UPDATE: The NYPD has confirmed our hunch that this is not real. There is, in fact, no 16th Precinct in NYC. Who staged the video, where and how, remains a mystery. Nevertheless, we still enjoy it in terms of over-the-top catharsis.

Think you're good at arguing your way out of a ticket? Trust us, you're a chump.

These guys, however, have the brass, lack of respect for public property, and overall showmanship to go all the way.

Of course, for that officer's sake, we hope this was either staged or these guys spent some time behind bars.

Old meter...we dont have those in Chicago anymore thanks to our lovely democrat former mayor Daily. ours now require credit cards since they cost so much. Cash isnt excepted anymore.

Hopefully the parking meter incident was a joke but I remember Paul Newman in a film where in the opening he had a large pipe cutter and he decapitated several parking meters in a southern town. As to Lindsay Lohan; maybe she should go to jail on the parking ticket as well as her not showing up for community service.

I had lunch with Newman at his house years ago . I told him I liked " Cool Hand Luke" movie he did.He said,ya wer're gonna have a car wash down the street called " Luke's hand car wash".LOL

A slightly more legal way to deal with meters. Our city recently doubled the cost of parking to $2.00 an hour. It was soon discovered that if you paid with nickles the meter would quickly fill up and become out of order. Once a meter is out of order you can park for free. It hasn't had any effect like lowering to cost of parking, but there is something very satisfying about being the one to put that last nickle in the meter and seeing the Out Of Order symbol come on.
