Weird VHS Titles From Days Gone By

Ah, the 1980s. A time when anybody with a pulse, a camcorder, and a few bucks could market a video.

Writers Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher (The Onion, The Colbert Report) claim to have spent the last 20 years collecting "the best odd and unintentionally hilarious videotapes ever produced."

The resultant book, "VHS: Absurd, Odd, and Ridiculous Relics from the Videotape Era" (Running Press, $14) has just been published, and to celebrate that fact, we present a rewind to the days when pausing meant juddering images, tapes would spool inside machines, and video rental stores were our YouTube.
