ROCKVILLE, Md. — Opening statements are expected in the trial of a woman charged with killing a co-worker at a yoga clothing shop in a Washington suburb.
Jury selection is expected to conclude Wednesday, followed by opening statements in the case of Brittany Norwood. She's charged with fatally bludgeoning co-worker Jayna Murray on March 11 inside Bethesda's Lululemon Athletica store.
The two women worked together at the store. Prosecutors say Norwood killed Murray and then told police they had been attacked by two men.
On Tuesday, Montgomery County Circuit Judge Robert Greenberg restricted prosecutors' use of graphic photographs during opening statements. One showed Murray's crushed skull. The judge said other pictures were permissible.
