Bradlee Dean Dumps Michele Bachmann: Everybody Is Thinking 'Lady, You Stink'

And now she has lost the support of one of her longtime allies in her Minnesota district—Bradlee Dean, an anti-gay hair-metal evangelist who Bachmann has raised money for and publicly prayed for. The folks at Dump Bachmann listened to Dean's radio show last week and flagged this nugget, in which Dean rips into Bachmann as just another spineless politician:

Wow, Bradlee and Shelly broke up! This is like, so high school. He'll be sorry he dumped her later this week, write a ballad called "Every Thorn Has It's Rose", sing it to Shelly over the phone, and they'll be tight by Friday. This is what the GOP has come to, a dimbulb in bad shoes and the second runner-up in the Bret Michaels lookalike contest.

Think back to the beginning. Her candidacy was legitimized (in the tea Party's eyes) when she sounded less stupid than expected in the early debates. Someone (aforementioned Party) forgot to watch all her unchallenged statements to the press showing her to be certifiably nutz ! NOW it's news to them?

I am suspicious of why Dean's betrayal of Bachmann now! If he had listened to all the debates, he would have heard her being asked about an uncharacteristic change in her voting record on gays in the Minnesota State Senate. She mentioned that she was supporting a critical pro-life portion of a bill in which a pro gay element was inserted at the last minute which put her in an impossible voting position if she voted in line with her anti-gay views. This is a favorite tactic with liberal politicians on state and national levels in order to sabotage perfectly good legislation and political credibility, particularly when a critical vote margin is needed. She responded that she came down on the side of life! I believe her since her anti-gay views have been totally consistent at all other times. As to her apparent dodging of questions on gay issues, I think it has to do more with feeding the agenda of an antagonistic press which one has to be careful of including the "Dump Bachmann" blog. The thing that really stinks is for Dean to dump his loyalty to Bachmann publicly after all this time before even having questioned Bachmann personally and privately first about his fears. That smacks of betrayal, and reflects on Dean's character. If Dean really wants to focus on what stinks, there's plenty out there that's starting to with Cain and Perry.

Minnesota's GOP will be haunted by their recent endorsements. Senate Majority Leader Amy Koch said on Oct 28.

"From serving as a state senator to her terms in the United States Congress, as well as owning and operating her family business, Michele has demonstrated she has what it takes to stand up against big government and put forth the necessary policies to create a pro-growth economy that our country so desperately needs right now.

She has it right on boosting job creation, she has it right on cutting government spending, she has it right on investing in innovation. I can't think of another candidate in this race that would be more equipped to turnaround the economy than Michele. That's why she has my endorsement."

Other than the teenytiny little issue that on any topic outside of her business she is b.u.t.t.s.t.o/.o.p.id., she's the perfect candidate!

Look, Minnesotans. You may not like "squarehead." But you gotta stop electing them to do something about that.
