China Earthquakes: Two Moderate Temblors Shake Country's Northwest And Southwest Regions

BEIJING — Two moderate earthquakes have shaken China's northwest and southwest regions.

The U.S. Geological Survey says a magnitude-6.0 earthquake hit China's Xinjiang region about 60 miles (100 kilometers) from the city of Yining at 8:20 a.m. Tuesday, while the other quake struck the region bordering Sichuan and Gansu provinces at 6 a.m. at a magnitude of 5.5.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.

The earthquake in Xinjiang occurred at a depth of 17 miles (27 kilometers), while the other temblor was 10 miles (16 kilometers) deep.

China's worst quake in recent years was a 7.9-magnitude quake in Sichuan province in May 2008. It left nearly 90,000 people dead.

Disasters hurt and the victims need support. This support can come from their fellow citizens.

Whoever makes the decision to send them dollars for relief funds "Must" be jailed!! Take care of our first!!! Besides what do we have to give? More of their own money?!?!?!?!

Anyone who follows the stock market will see THIS is going to effect stocks in a very NEGATIVE way.... Computer hardware company "STX" is going to PLUMMETT within a week because of this and the flooding.......... will go from $16....back to $12 or below.............

The big one in the U.S. is over 400 years overdue. All of Yellowstone National Park is going to erupt at once and from there west to California and east to the mid-east states will be heavily effected. It's coming.....tie everything down.

It's not the earthquakes that kill people. It's falling buildings that do. also, a 5.5 quake will not do much damage unless it is a shallow quake and the epicenter is close to a heavily populated area with substandard construction.

A temblor is not the same as an earthquake. I think a temblor can be of less than a 5.0.

There is an "earthquake" coming that will be much worse than even the "big one" expected in California, and it will not be what we all think, but it will rock our world as we know it. There was a song "Matthew 24 is at your door.." The world has already passed through that door.

Having said his, I sincerely hope damage and injury/loss is not severe, even in China, the new land lords of my Nation. I mean, I am just sayin'
