Jessica Simpson Pregnant: Singer And Eric Johnson Expecting

Jessica Simpson confirmed what we've all been suspecting for weeks: she's pregnant. The 31-year-old took to her website to confirm the exciting news that she and fiance Eric Johnson are expecting their first child.

Along with a Halloween photo of herself dressed as a chic mummy and clutching her belly, Simpson wrote, "It's True! I am going to be a mummy."

Simpson and Johnson announced their engagement in November 2010 and planned to walk down the aisle before rumors surfaced that their wedding would be postponed -- and now we know why!

Months later, the rumor mills began to churn again as a pregnant looking Simpson stepped out before her growing baby bump became too large to conceal.

The former songstress has now finally revealed all, putting our strong suspicions to rest. But that's not all. Simpson is also already cashing in on her growing belly. She took to Twitter after confirming her pregnancy on her website tweeting, "!!!ANNOUNCEMENT!!!" along with a link -- a link that took her followers who were hoping to hear more baby news to Beauty Mint, a website promoting a skin care line. Well played, Jessica!

It was over the top and typical for her. But I DID think it was creepy. Why not just be pregnant not comment have a beautiful healthy baby and vola. I wish her the best of luck though.

On the upside unlike Beyonce she is not giving us a blow by blow of every moment of her pregnancy so....

Sometimes when people are pregnant, they do not want to tell the world because you never know! Maybe there were issues and she did not want to tell everyone just yet! Congrats!

I agree. I waited the standard 3 months because you never know if something might happen. Besides, I didn't show until my 6 month so there wasn't anything to rush to tell anyway. It was nice keeping it to myself and getting to enjoy it before everyone else got involved and started wanting to touch my belly (ugh.)
