I've long been obsessed with Diane von Furstenberg's bright hues and punchy patterns. Her eponymous fragrance is now my signature scent. And I live in her sexy wrap dresses. In fact, I would even let her design my apartment if I could -- my studio's piece de resistance is a duvet cover from the fashion icon's home collection that features one of her legendary prints. I only wish DVF would decorate my walls too.
Happily, though, I can now score a photograph handpicked by Ms. von Furstenberg, herself. The CFDA has teamed up with the New York Times to offer a selection of images from the paper's archive, curated by five top designers (other participants include Prabal Gurung, Vera Wang, Zac Posen and Milly's Michelle Smith). Each one has chosen 10 images that resonate with their own aesthetic.
The 50 photographs will be available online at The New York Times Store starting this Thursday, and on exhibit at Bloomingdale's 59th Street through November 26. Proceeds will benefit the CFDA.
In the meantime, here's a preview of some of my favorite works for sale.
