Lance Armstrong Rips Jerry Jones After Cowboys Loss To Eagles

Lance Armstrong Rips Cowboys Owner After Blowout Loss

Everything went Philadelphia's way on Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys. Michael Vick was accurate. Running back LeSean McCoy ran 30 times for nearly 200 yards. The Eagles dominated time of possession and won the turnover battle. Not surprisingly, they won the game, 34-7. Yet, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones didn't seem too upset after his team's blowout loss to a division rival.

"I would be concerned if I did not think we were going to win a lot of football games, but I think we will win games," Jones said, per Dan Graziano of ESPN.

Dallas fans, however, were not as upbeat after the loss. Notable Cowboys fan and seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong tweeted his frustration after the game, taking a shot at Jones' meddling.

"'If' I had a few hundred million bucks I'd buy the Dallas Cowboys then get the hell outta the way," Armstrong wrote on his Twitter page.

To be fair, Jones isn't the one who completed just 18 of 34 passing attempts for a mere 203 yards. Jones wasn't playing in the defense that was carved up by Vick and gashed by McCoy. Nor was he a member of the coaching staff that couldn't direct a scoring drive until the opposition had scored 34 straight points. And Jones may even have a point when talking about the team's ability to win a lot of football games. After all, the Cowboys (3-4) still get to play the Seahawks, Bills, Redskins, Dolphins and the Cardinals. This isn't exactly a murderers' row, giving Dallas every chance to hang with the resurgent Eagles and the New York Giants in the NFC East standings.

With that said, it must be incredibly frustrating for Cowboys fans to be inundated with images of the team's owner enjoying himself in his luxury box or taking questions from reporters as the team is humiliated on national television.
