'Rock Center' Debuts: Brian Williams, Jon Stewart Talk Beer, Trick-Or-Treating and Occupy Wall Street (VIDEO)

Brian Williams hosted Jon Stewart on the premiere of "Rock Center With Brian Williams" Monday night. The two media men got a tad personal during the interview, touching each other's socks (it was weird!) talking about their trick-or-treating habits, and comparing their overall manhood to that of NBC's top foreign correspondent, Richard Engel.

Stewart started off the interview by presenting Williams with a welcome gift: a six-pack of Budweiser with two cans missing.

"What do you want from me?" Stewart asked. "I've been here an hour and the football game is on."

"And it's warm. I'm not saying, I'm just saying, it's warm." Williams responded. He noted that he has appeared on Stewart's show a total of nineteen times and thanked Stewart for appearing on "Rock Center" despite the premiere conflicting with Halloween (Stewart has two young children).

When asked about how he takes his children trick-or-treating in New York City, Stewart said that he "does not let his children" go near any apartment buildings. His children are "escorted to bodegas" where "they may get edamame" instead of candy.

Stewart did not appear to enjoy the Halloween talk so instead he decided to comment on Wiliams' high socks. "Brian Williams needs vascular support," Stewart said as pulled up Williams' pant leg. "You wear an anklet," Williams said, before telling Stewart, "OK, that's enough!"

Williams then pointed out that Stewart has been particularly harsh on Occupy Wall Street protesters. Stewart disagreed with this sentiment and said he really empathized with the protesters. He did mention however, that he was keeping the protesters in "perspective."

"You got guys down in Zuccotti Park with a tent roughing it with brown rice and a tent. I'm sure there are people...in sub-Saharan Africa who are like 'Ooh, tents. Look at you, mister,'" Stewart said.

We are an All American, born, & raised family.Last night we watched Brian Williams show upon welfare persos/family.Nov.28,2011.How absolutly sad for the narrow minded views. There are many persons/families with nice cars, flat screens, all around nise items upon welfare.Hasn't anyone remembered that many of these individuals once had good paying jobs & now are unemployed, working for less money, ect,.So many families now because of the economy are suffering, barely or not barely making it.Many welfare reciepientsonce had careers, money.Do expect them to move in the streets,a card board box?OOPs,its already happing!!!!

I realize it's a business but on "Rock Center" it's all business. 12 minutes of program, commercials; 9 minutes, commercials; 9 minutes, commercials; 3 minutes, commercials; 4 minutes with Tina Fey (whoever she is), commercials; 3 more minutes of gibberish with Tina, commercials. Final Score: Entertainment content (much of it Brian's quirky comments), 40 minutes. Commercials, 20 minutes. Grade, F. Another news mag bites the dust.

That sounds fairly standard as far as commercial content on just about any network, for most shows - but then considering you don't even know who Tina Fey is (or more likely, pretend not to) you probably don't have your finger on the pulse of much of anything...

John Stewart has sold out and turned into a snark. It has gone to his head and now he believes his own press.

Jon keeps saying that he's just a comedy show....i finally realized that he is right. He has Bill Orally on to promote his book.... and does this chummy little back and forth.... and i find it sickening. He is all about padding his own nest.

Haha, you think this was weird, watch all BriWi's appearances on the Daily Show! XD They just got their man crush on is all.

And Jon Stewart does go trick or treating, he's just not exactly a fan of dressing up:

OK, this wasn't as good as some of their interviews together, but I have watched Brian Willaims on The Daily Show when he was hilarious! Their chemistry can be very good & you get the idea that these two are friends & respect what each other does.

Brian Williams - Class + Humor / Fundamentals = Great Host
Jon Stewart - Child + Humor X Insight = Great Host

No idea if that makes sense, but I really do love these two gentlemen.

Progressive is good; regressive, not so much.

Pretty good but Stewart's comments about OWS were a little 'attention getting', I think.

I think he wants to beat up on "both sides" a little bit. It's all good.
