World's Smallest Horse Plays Soccer: Cute/Ridiculous Animal Thing Of The Day (VIDEO)

First Posted: 11/01/11 03:15 PM ET Updated: 11/01/11 03:15 PM ET

Warning: Obnoxious music alert. But this video was too cute not to post.

Einstein, the world's smallest stallion, is all grown up now -- or as grown up as he's going to get.

What he lacks in size, he more than makes up for in personality though.

Just watch him go after this enormous soccer ball. He's got some serious dribbling talent!

Sure, the goat and the dog may be bigger than him, but it's clear that Einstein runs the backyard. And with soccer skills like this, it's no wonder.

Thanks for sharing this fun video!
I'm glad he has a ball to play with now; he needs to practice his herding skills, and build his leg (and heart/lung) muscles via more strenuous exercise... Now give him a pasture and other little horses to run & socialize with! Or at the least, make a fur cover for the ball with horses or pinto spots on it ;-)

Yes he is cute but do keep in mind that Enstein is a DWARF and not a correctly conformed Miniature Horse. He should be advertised a the World's Smallest Dwaqrf Horse.
Sadly, his owners are running around contacting all the different media to let them know what they are up to with him and giving the the public a really poor idea of what a true, "completely proportional" Miniature Horse should look like.
Hopefully, his owners will finally realize this and be a responsible Miniature Hrse owner and have him gelded. No way is he stallion quality and he should be gelded and never allowed to pass on his dwarf gene.

Okay, Einstein is absolutely, no-question adorable and talented - but let's give some props to the goat at the end of the video *balancing* on top of the giant soccer ball, too!

What great pets, and so happy! That is the kind of thing that makes my day. Happy, healthy animals just enjoying life.

Very, adorable... but what do yyou do with it? How did they get it to be so small? And is that a good thing?

Anyone remember the Newhart Show (set in Vermont) and the world's smallest horse episode...."how do you know this is the world's smallest horse? Just look at him...
08:17 PM on 11/02/2011
I looked at him,, he's still small, no wait,,,,,,,,,,,,,, no still small..
06:51 PM on 11/02/2011
Well ... he *is* a stallion, and probably just hitting puberty ... and that soccer ball does have spots. He's asking her "what's your sign baby?", and she just wants to leave :)

Someone should schedule a match between Einstein and Bo, the soccer playing White House dog.

As an honest, reputable breeder of miniature horses, yes this guy is cute, but has dwarf qualities, don't be taken in by his cuteness. He is not of show quality or breeding quality.

Would the average person who simply wants one to care of as a pet even care?
06:53 PM on 11/02/2011
I was asking myself somewhat the same thing ... cuteness aside, WHY isn't he a eunuch yet? Signed, another reputable foundation breeder (of somewhat larger critters tho)

If the only animals he's around are the dog and the goat there is really no need, especially if they are all male.
