Amusement Parks In Montana: A Huffington Post Travel Guide
Amusement parks in Montana are hard to come by, but that doesn't mean entertainment is impossible to find. Nature and history buffs alike will enjoy all the local parks Big Sky Country has to offer. And, if you're dead-set on roller coasters, there are plenty of more traditional venues across the border in Idaho and Washington. Geyser Park
Geyser Park Family Fun Center offers a wide range of activities for the whole family in Montana's biggest city. The park is open year-round, so you can get in on the fun no matter what time of year you visit.
Signature Ride
Geyser Park is known for its 18-hole adventure golf course as well as a huge state-of-the-art laser tag arena. For riding fun, It has go-karts and bumper boats, both with height requirements.
Other Attractions
Kids will love the playground, three-level kidopolis and all the latest video games. Geyser Park also offers birthday party packages.
Food
The park has a full-service pizza restaurant, which also serves cheese sticks, nachos and ice cream. A McDonald's is nearby.

Silverwood Theme Park
Silverwood boasts the largest theme park in the Northwest, with more than 65 rides, shows and attractions. There is also a neighboring water park, Boulder Beach.
Signature Ride
There are many rides to choose from at Silverwood, but Aftershock is truly one of the most memorable coasters. It is 191 feet tall and takes riders forward and backward through a cobra roll and inverted loop at over 65 mph. Adrenaline junkies will also want to check out Panic Plunge, which slowly makes its 120-foot ascent before dropping riders and reaching a top speed of 47 mph.
Other Attractions
The park has plenty of traditional amusement park favorites, such as the Log Flume, Bumper Boats, Scrambler and Ferris wheel. Kids will want to visit Garfield Summer Camp and play in Polliwog Park or Toddler Springs. They'll also enjoy kid-friendly rides like Frog Hopper, Flying Elephants and Butterflyer.

Silverwood has plenty of food options, including burgers, ice cream, hot dogs, elephant ears, pretzels, cotton candy and fries.
