Hillary Adams, Daughter Allegedly Beaten By Judge, Asks People To Help Her Father (VIDEO)

Hillary Adams, the disabled woman seen in a disturbing video getting whipped with a belt by her father, a Texas judge, is asking people on Twitter to stop threatening her dad.

The video showing a man and woman beating Adams, a teenager with ataxic cerebral palsy, for downloading music and video games, went viral and sparked outrage after being pssted to Reddit on Tuesday.

Yet instead of fanning the flames, Adams turned to her 1,100+ Twitter followers and asked them to stop menacing her father, Aransas County Court-At-Law Judge William Adams.

It was just one of several tweets pleading for support from @shoeofallcosmos, which is the same handle as the person who originally posted the video.

HuffPost contacted Hillary Adams over Twitter but has not heard back. In a tweet to a CNN employee, she wrote, "I'm not sure how much I should say, except that above all we need to help my father instead of condemning him."

Web users, however, have not been shy about sharing their feelings -- the YouTube video has garnered over 34,000 comments.

"He should have his f*****g D*** cut off and then he should be tortured for the rest off his life," one YouTube commenter wrote.

"This man is a danger to everyone around him. He needs to be locked away for the next decade, at least, and given the help he needs to become a human being," a Redditor wrote.

HuffPost called Judge Adams several times on Wednesday, but the line was busy each time. It is not clear if he's been the recipient of any direct threats.

According to Slate's Torie Bosch, some Redditors posted the judge's address and phone number, while others posted the contact information for local law enforcement. Aransas County has issued a press release asking people to "refrain from communication with County offices or the Sheriff's Department on this matter...Calls, emails, and faxes only create disruptions for other ongoing county business."

CNN reports that a local Domino's pizza has received nearly thirty orders for pizza deliveries to the judge's residence.

KRIS-TV spoke to the judge on Wednesday (video below) where he admitted that he was the man in the video beating the teenager.

"I really don't want to get into this right now because as you can see my life's been made very difficult over this child," he said. "In my mind I have not done anything wrong other than discipline my child when she was caught stealing. I did lose my temper, I've apologized."

Hillary Adams claims that she secretly taped the assault in 2004. She made it publicly available because of a telephone argument she had with her father recently.

This slime is a hungry power monster, with obvious issues of needing to lord himself over people he sees as weaker than himself,I'm sure he was a tyrant in the court room also. I'm glad his daughter exposed him for who he was, hitting is not the answer taking away toys, cell phones, lap tops or whatever or stopping a child from being with friends will get the point across.

His life has been made difficult because of this child...did I read that correctly? I think he meant because of his daughter didn't he? I have mountains of sympathy for a man who beats their child, especially a female child and doubly so for one with cerebral palsy. Concur, My daddies razor strap stole his dignity and my respect for him. I loved him, but the moment he swung it our time as father and son ended. Along came the rebellious years and instead of talk he went for the strap and ended up in a garbage can in the backyard head first. Lets just say he never did it again, but I was gone as soon as I could thumb a ride to the US Navy. I learned what real respect was there and never had to raise a hand to any of my children....Peace

I was annoyed when @AbcNews covered the Hilary Adams videotape. How does this affect anyone outside the family? At best, it's a human interest story like Natalie Holloway's disappearance. At worst, it's child pornography. Take out the statute of limitations, and you would have had dueling charges of child abuse and illegal wiretapping. What's next, using this as an ad for one of the GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO movie remakes? The whole thing is marginally more relevant than a Kardashian wedding/divorce.

This man is a monster! My heart goes out to Hilary, and what she must have had to endure through her childhood. It's enough to be abused by one parent, but they are both just as guilty. I can't believe that he is a man of the law and does not know what is defined as child abuse. I think they should both be held down and strapped until they puke as well. An eye for an eye! They will both be judged, by the public, and God. Being a man of the Bible, I think he knows what that means for him.

Your wife is property, as are your children, & homosexuals should be killed. It also says that "if" you think a woman is a witch, kill her too. We've come a long way from those times, Outraged. Our children are not chattel property. They are human beings. "Discipline" means guiding, teaching, with patience and love--not savaging the holy crap out of our own flesh and blood. So he sits in judgment of others and finds it responsable to beat the hell out of his little girl with a belt . Nice going daddy . When I has young I was beat with a belt and a fist and raped be friends of the family . But they were all drunk perverts . I was even hospitalized by the beatings . But this peice of work takes a belt to his terrefied child while she is screaming no and he is sober ! If this was a spouse he would be in jail for felony domestic abuse . .. Side note : I grew up just fine . Never laid a hand on a child or a woman ... Ever !

He has no remorse. He doesn't have a clue that he assaulted his own daughter. He's so entrenched in his Biblical indoctrination of regarding his child as his property to do with as he wishes, that he states unequivocally that, "In my mind, I did nothing wrong." They don't call it the Bible BELT for nothing. What a wretched excuse for a father.

It is legal in most states to discipline you children with objects such as belts. I think our country has suffered too much for lack of discipline for children that don't listen or respect their parents. This father did nothing wrong in that video.

Outraged, I'm still going to have to disagree with you respectfully. Just because beating a child with a belt is legal doesn't mean that it is right. As many great Americans have noted: legal isn't necessarily ethical. Consider our history of holding millions of slaves, of denying women the vote, of regarding women and children as human property, of taking land from Native Americans. Look beyond "legal" to see what is moral. Beating & assaulting children doesn't teach them anything but fear. Discipline can be a "time out," a removal of privileges (phones, computers, grounding), but harming the flesh of another person does not teach them any worthwhile lesson. The father was a brute and took joy in savaging his daughter. Shame.

The police cannot press charges against the "judge" according to the area paper. They did however want the public to know that if complaints were too gruff.,the police would pursue the caller. That is Aransas County Court Justice for you. Forget the kid beating.

Who to blame? The public. They are the ones ultimately responsible because if the public wanted the judge out, he'd be out. Period.

So she seems well adapted, on her own (read financially independent)... what hold or degree of control could her father still have over her to cause her to "protect herself" by releasing this seven years later? If none...I can really then only chalk this up to pettiness, vindictiveness and spite. Three things I night consider spanking my child for...... hmmmmmmm.

I have not seen any responses suggesting that Hilary distance herself from her abusive family by completing her education and becoming self-supporting. That would give her more power than anything else. I experienced physical abuse like Hilary at the hands of my parents. I did every possible thing I could to stay out their house once I turned 18. I went to college and then joined the military after graduation because jobs were scarce and I would not go back to my hometown or live in their home again at any price. Unfortunately, my family left me with such low self-esteem that I married an abusive husband. When things got bad, I left with my child, divorced him, obtained a professonial certificate, went on to very highly paid jobs, and remarried. It can be done.

Hilary, if you see this, give this some thought. If you were strong enough to post that video, then you can do this.

Agreed. That was the path I took as well. I graduated high school, went to college, then promptly moved across the country. I haven't returned home since. That is the first step. The problem I am now having is that even though I have extracted myself from the abusive situation, I am, at 32, still extremely angry and empty inside. I have been unable to successfully marry and form my own family, which I feel would be a complete recovery. I've met many loving and caring men who I wanted to marry, but I couldn't reconcile my these incidents in my past and being somewhat frozen inside with low self-esteem, I would always lose them. Just imagine how Hillary felt when her parents finally left her room. (My dad used to threaten to take the door off the hinges so I couldn't have any privacy.) What are you supposed to do after you are treated like that and there are no witnesses, there's no one there to talk to? To endure such abuse you either need to take it out on someone else or yourself, because you HAVE to do something with it. You cannot just absorb that and go on your way. My anger turned into a deep depression that is very much with me today. Even though I'm physically no longer in that situation, I am thoroughly unhappy with the life I've scraped together for myself.
