Kardashian Cameras Not 'Keeping Up' With Divorce Drama

Kim Kardashian's mother, Kris Jenner, sat down with me Wednesday morning to talk about the shocking news that her daughter has filed for divorce -- a plot point that would be reality TV gold, if it had made it on camera.

"We are not filming right now and didn't do all this for the show," Jenner said. "At the moment, I'm 100 percent mom, not manager. It's been hard to talk with Kim as she's in Australia with Khloe. Khloe is the Kim police and very protective about Kim. She could have canceled but once again she didn't want to let her fans down."

Jenner admits that she does understand why people are so angry about the news, but insists this was a real marriage that went sour, adding that if it were a sham wedding, then why would the couple divorce after only 72 days? Wouldn't it make better business sense to remain married and live separate lives?

"First of all, Kim didn't make millions off her wedding," Jenner said. "She made less than $1 million from selling pictures and the wedding special was part of her show deal with E!. She will not be selling a divorce interview and plans to continue to donate to charities."

Jenner is busy promoting her new book, "Kris Jenner...and All Things Kardashian." Although she said she hasn't spoken with her daughter's ex, Kris Humphries, she feels terrible for him and his family, but warns, "don't judge until you have walked in someone else's shoes."

This is the first article I've read in which some semblance of sympathy is cast torward Kris Humphries. He may be naive, narcissistic and stupid, but he deserves a little more sympathy in this matter. Regardless of mitigating factors, the way the divorce was announced was truly a classless act. Even a clueless clod deserved more. Kris Jenner's statement ends with a pseudo excuse...."don't judge until you have walked in someone else's shoes..." Unfortunately most of us won't be able to walk in those shoes. Few of us can afford or would even want to live the spectale they call a life.

Don't you all find it disturbing that this divorce announcement came on the same week as Mummy dearest is peddling her book?? This entire family is all about turning a buck.
