Kris Jenner Talks Kim Kardashian's Divorce On 'The View'

Even Kris Jenner is wondering why Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries split after only 72 days.

"I'm actually searching for the same answer to that question," Jenner said on "The View" Wednesday morning.

Jenner teared up while talking about the split, recalling the conversation she had with her daughter about the decision to end her marriage.

"She says mommy this is something that I feel that I need to do. Please trust me, please be there for me. And of course as a mom I'm with my girls through thick and thin and its tough," Jenner said. "It's a tough time for the family and for Kim and for everybody involved. It's really hard to go through this on such a public stage."

Kardashian filed for divorce Monday, citing "irreconcilable differences." Her reported $10 million dollar wedding was broadcast in a 2-day, 4-hour special on E!.

In a blog post published on her personal website Tuesday, Kardashian admitted that she "rushed" into marriage -- and filming a reality show may have had something to do with it.

"I want a family and babies and a real life so badly that maybe I rushed in to something too soon," she writes. "I felt like I was on a fast roller coaster and couldn't get off when now I know I probably should have. I got caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show that when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn't know how to and didn't want to disappoint a lot of people."

So does Kris Jenner regret filming the show and televising the nuptials?

"Absolutely not," she said.

This is phase one of the Kardashian family's grand plan of monetizing Kim's divorce. Remember, in the end if they can garner public support it strengthens the "brand" which increases their paychecks and makes the entire family richer and richer!! Kris Jenner states today: just wait and see how this all plays out. Yea, you mean just wait and tune in to Kourtney/Kim take New York reality series where the E News Network paints Kris Humphries as the disgruntled husband to the angelic Kim. If I were Kris I'd be all over the E network to make sure they don't intentionally paint him as a tool, but it's probably too late.

You make a good point regarding how Kris Humphries is portrayed on the E network. He was not portrayed very well on the days leading up to their marriage. I couldn't believe it when the family went to Bora Bora and Kris did not know Kim had been married before! Seriously, how could he not have known that? They have been dating for about 6 months supposedly but must not have talked too much and he obviously didn't watch the show or he would have known that.

Attention K family - people have real lives, real issues that are more important this is joke of a family.Kris is pimping these girls and I'm sure their dad is thoroughly disappointed in all of them (RIP) but especially Kim. This was a sham and acting gig for all involved. They got big money for that spectacle which I refused to watch.
