In Israel its the same. Good for you if you are the newly wedded couple. Bad news if you have many young friends!

People need to get back to reality and planning weddings they can afford.A wedding celebration can be done tastefully and cheap. I have heard many complaints from both sides, some can`t afford to go to even family member`s weddings and couple`s complain that people did not give enough to cover the meals.People get into fight s about this.
