Beyonce's Dangerously High Maternity Footwear (PHOTOS)

The Huffington Post     First Posted: 11/03/2011 7:04 pm   Updated: 01/03/2012 4:12 am

We don't know from experience, but we've heard that being pregnant is an unpleasant experience for your feet. Swelling, pain, flat feet -- carrying the weight of a baby bump can't be easy.

Yet Beyonce has demonstrated superhuman strength. "What swelling?" she must be saying, as she steps out in pair after pair of sky-high heels.

Since announcing her pregnancy the star has been seen precariously perched on all sorts of heels, undaunted by the task of balancing her growing belly. We shouldn't be surprised, of course, as Beyonce seems to have eschewed maternity clothes altogether in favor of low-cut sequin jackets, mini dresses and strapless bikinis.

We respect your daring, Bey -- we just hope you don't trip and fall.

Below, behold the wildest footwear Beyonce's rocked while pregnant. Click through in awe.

Celebrities only walk to and from their cars in those shoes. Once they're inside they are taking them off and putting on something comfortable. I can almost guarantee that she is not is sky high heels more than 2 hours each day.

She will be coming out of those shoes shortly, I sure.

This is a really creepy story.

I hate seeing the damage younger women do to their bodies in the name of "fashion", but this is flat-out endangering her baby.

Sigh.

Wearing 5-inch heels is akin to foot binding, only women do it to themselves. How sad.

She's not tall enough! How else is she going to get a banana from the tree that Jay Z, the gorilla lives in?

Wasn't it a few weeks ago everyone was questioning whether or not she was really pregnant?

I had to check this out because I just couldn't believe that anyone would think that this young woman wearing heels during her pregnancy warrants any sort of attention. It's nobody's damned business what she wears on her feet. She could strap a tennis racquet to the sole of each foot and it STILL would be nobody's business but her own. Sometimes I think the media would nitpick Mother Teresa given half a chance.

I wore hills to work in my first pregnancy until I was 7 months. Lots of women do. She's also not very far along.

She can't keep it up (walking on high heels) for very long - although, she may trip and lose her baby...what a "vain" person...she doesn't look better by wearing "heels" - who knows ?- maybe she "can" keep it up...eventually the baby will get too heavy and big.........
