A South Carolina woman whose laptop was stolen at an airport chose fight over flight.
When Ambre Boroughs discovered that her computer bag was empty on the luggage carousel in Charleston and realized Southwest Airlines staff couldn't be of much help, she went into detective mode, according to NBC Chicago.
The sleuth relentlessly searched Craiglist ads for HP 9000 laptops in Chicago, because she boarded the plane at Midway International Airport. As luck would have it, she found a match.
A huckster posted a picture of a laptop that had a sticker for the 33's, an obscure South Carolina punk rock band adored by Boroughs. She also has a tattoo of the band on her wrist.
She contacted the seller, who admitted that he had between 10 and 15 machines for sale. Boroughs then called Chicago police who raided the house and arrested three people suspected of stealing laptops. According to NBC Chicago, none of them worked for Southwest.
