Vivica A. Fox And 28-Year-Old Fiance, Omar "Slimm" White, Call It Quits

After a 10-month engagement, actress Vivica A. Fox and 28-year-old club promoter Omar "Slimm" White have called it quits.

White confirmed the news to TooFab, stating, "She's a good woman. It's just one of those situations where in life, people outgrow each other. I'm highly intelligent, very wise, and one thing I hate is negativity and drama. I hate arguing, and I value communication no matter what the problem may be," he explained. "So as in any relationship, tension can build up and I finally had to walk away."

The engagement would have marked the second marriage for the "Independence Day" star, who was married for four years to aspiring singer Christopher "Sixx-Nine" Harvest. The two divorced in 2002.

During an appearance on the "Wendy Williams Show" in December 2010, Fox spoke candidly about the couple's plans to start a family following the close of then-touring play, "Cheaper to Keep Her."

"I'm very fertile, so I don't think I'll have a problem," she admitted. "We're planning after the tour to do the thing. If I could get a boy and a girl, that would be fabulous, and I'm shutting down shop and shipping these eggs off to Africa somewhere."

Although their age difference, White insists that he was "only in it for love and it just didn't work out. Even though she was older than me, the age difference didn't play a part."

Fox took to twitter on Thursday to share her feelings on the split:

Too bad it didn't work out but it appears that Vivica might've inadvertently drove Omar away. That's my girl and all but that's how it comes across from his interview in Sister2Sister Magazine. I like how dude showed Viv love and was like it was what it was.

I would've had a hard time trusting that club promoting whippersnapper if I was her anyway. Perhaps, I'm too young to understand, but the cougar thing sounds a bit desperate to me. I guess for a few couples the age difference truly doesn't matter. However, I would feel like a fool dating a guy almost twenty years younger than me. Oh, well. Babies? Sure she can have all she wants with DONOR EGGS, celebrities got everyone convinced old women can have babies yes with thousands upon thousands of dollars, IVF and donor eggs/surrogates, she can keep chasing young men all she wants bottom line is most young men, most men in general do not want an older woman, just a sad biological fact, there are rare exceptions but most don't, grow up Vivica, stop the plastic surgery, and if you really want kids, look into IVF with donor eggs or adoption although unless you are willing to pay out enormous amounts of money either way, (and for regular folk, adoption agencies add one year to the child's age for every year you are past 40) but as a wealthy celebrity they make exceptions (i.e., madonna, sandra bullock, mariska hagarity) you are not 'very fertile' in your late forties, that is just a biological fact, as much as all the over 40 celebrities want to flaunt their designer twins at us, the average woman just does not have those options without winning the lottery. I am younger than you are, my biological son passed so I tried ALL options, so I do know...good luck.

You are right I dont know why they lie, after 40 you will definately need a donor unless you get lucky very lucky. otherwise youre looking at a child with developmental difficulties. I dont know whats wrong with Vivica there are a lot of men in her age bracket that are gorgeous! She is a nice looking woman --- why is she playing the fool role? Im so confused by that, she and halle berry seem to have such a hard time staying in relationships. It cant be everybody else... it must be them SMH

Every break-up I have read about her, the guy has always said the same thing.....too much drama, diva behavior and such. She was dumped by one cat, I think he was a rapper, because she started shooting her mouth off about their personal business. Maybe she needs to learn looks may attract someone, but who you are will determine if they stay or go.

Since I am not privy to the inner machinations of their lives I can only speculate. At the age of 62 I don't want no "old" man. However, I must be realistic. Don't no young man want no old woman. Sure the moments of intimacy can be phantasmagorical. I'm good. So what. But really y'all. Men don't want older women. First off we ain't takin' they sush hai i tut. Hi michelleobamaok; Absolutely loves your moniker. You're right Sista. I did however, say in my opinion. Truthfully, though other than phsicality what's the point? I love my son; but chil' Idon't wanna date him. Different strokes. But there's more to life than strokes. Or somethin' like that. To each his/her own. Some people like booty calls. VIVICA'S got it "like that!" She's a very attractive person who looks better than many younger women. America is fast-food oriented, and many young women look, act, and move like their grandmothers.

She's got the hot body, looks, money, and fame. Why settle for someone you don't want, when you've still got it all? This is a lesson for us all: Take care of yourself and you can still be in the game for as long as you want.

As far as still being in game....she is 47 years old! She has no husband and no children but dates children. How many more years should she "stay in the game?" She was quoted last year on the Wendy Williams show at the age of 46 saying she was going to have kids?! Have kids at 46-47 years old????!!!!! WHAT????!!!! She better adopt real quick. I think she needs to wake up and realize she is not 25 or even 35 and stop dating guys that are way to young, it has gotten her nowhere in life as far as love, relationships or children are concerned. Unless of course she is right where she wants to be. None of my business I guess what she does, just my opinion. But I'm betting things haven't turned out the way she envisioned them for herself.

SHE'S still in the "game" because she has maintained herself. She's a quite striking looking person for her age, because in America many people go downhill pretty quickly by the time they are 25.

Many young Americans (starting in grade school) don't exercise and live on fast foods. They simply look terrible, and have "terrible" mindsets------such as thinking that being in good shape and attractive at an older age is something "silly" and to avoid.

It's only notable because so many people in this country are in such bad shape. The CDC says that America is in a obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol, stroke, and heart attack epidemic.
