'You're So Cain' Parody Mocks Easily Mockable Herman Cain Campaign
Herman Cain hasn't had a great day. And no bad day ends without the proper epilogue of a Carly Simon parody, in the form of "You're So Cain."
Just days after Rachel Maddow speculated that Herman Cain has released more than enough evidence that his campaign is an elaborate piece of performance art, Christopher Duva released this parody of Simon's hit "You're So Vain" detailing why exactly the GOP frontrunner is, indeed, "so Cain." Because there's really no other way to describe a guy whose "gaffes" have ranged from lifting lyrics from the Pokemon soundtrack to alleged sexual assault.
And, hell, if Simon is going to lead is on a wild goose chase for decades about who is, indeed, so vain, we'd like to listen to the tune without driving ourselves crazy. And we have to admit, the parody lyrics ain't half bad. It may not be a Tim Heidecker exalting ode to Herman Cain, but we dig it.
