Japan Earthquake: Strong Temblor Recorded Off Southern Okinawa Island

Strong Quake Hits Southern Japan

11/ 7/11 10:13 PM ET   AP

TOKYO -- A fairly strong earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.8 has hit off the shores of Japan's southern Okinawa Island.

Officials said the quake Tuesday about 135 miles (220 kilometers) away from the island was not expected to cause a tsunami. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

Northeastern Japan was devastated by a massive earthquake and tsunami on March 11 that left nearly 20,000 people dead or missing. Japan, which lies along the Pacific "Ring of Fire," is one of the world's most seismically active countries.

I'm praying everyday not only for Japan, but other contries that have been effected by major earthquakes.

It scares me, because while all this is happening, nothing has happened in California. But from the response from not only the govt's of the countries but the people to has at least calmed my nervousness by a small sum.

thank you WeMustDo Better09 for always reminding us Japans #1 problem is not earthquakes, their economy, aging population etc., but the massive meltdown of Fukushima nuclear power plant.

Unfortunately it has become the worlds problem also. The nuclear fallout that is circling the globe 24/7 makes all other problems pale by comparison.

Well thank you for stating what we all know to be true.
Fukushima is still critical and the radiation will effect Japan for years to come.

Radiating Americans: Fukushima rain, Clinton's secret food pact
http://www.nuclearfreeplanet.org/articles/radiating-americans-fukushima-rain-clintons-secret-food-pact.html
"The United States came up with a decision to downplay Fukushima," said Gundersen who is awakening the public with information such as hot particles in rain will continue falling in the U.S., not just in the Pacific Northwest, for another year, and mentioning high-level fallout in Oklahoma a few days ago.
Gundersen told SolarIMG that high-level people he knows in the State Department said Hillary Clinton signed a pact with her counterpart in Japan agreeing for the United States to continue buying food from Japan, despite that food not being properly tested for radioactive materials.

How horrific for the Japanese. There's been 1638 EQ's since March 11th 3 today. http://www.japanquakemap.com/today
And with Fukushima still very critical, they don't need anymore problems.
My heart goes out to them.

There is no surprise here, November is turning out to be a banner month for major world events. We can expect strong to severe solar flares, meteor showers, 11.11.11and much more. To see the full list

You could go to the FCC's website and read about it. It's a 30-second test of the Emergency Alert system - you know, kinda like the ones you hear every once in a while on the radio or see on TV.

And don't worry about 11/11/11. I've lived through 6/6/66, 7/7/77, 8/8/88, 9/9/99, and 10/10/10, and nothing has happened yet. No 'karmic scripting and ancestral entrapment' at all....

I'm getting more scared and worried about this news on Japan earthquake. Worried because my country of origin, the Phil. may be the next although we're not visited as often as in Japan. I'm worried that the frequent and close occurences may be too much to handle and eventually bring the country to a big recession and affect enormously it's economy and their rebuilding of those damaged structures and facilities. Let's hope and pray this won't continue, they' had enough.
