'Where In The World Is Matt Lauer?': Madrid Is 2011 Day 2 Location (VIDEO)

Matt Lauer reported from his day 2 location of his comeback tour on Tuesday morning.

The 'Today' host said he had to flip his entire itinerary for his relaunched "Where In The World Is Matt Lauer" feature, for weather-related reasons. Due to the sudden change in plans, he was unable to write a clue and depended on his executive producer Jim Bell to provide viewers with the hint.

Bell announced, "Don Pardo might say it is a 'pin in the earth in blue sea.' Its cup runneth over, high in the sky, where the best things can be free!"

Ann Curry, Al Roker and Natalie Morales all attempted to guess Lauer's second day location, without much success (though Natalie Morales was very close). Lauer also stumped his fellow 'Today' hosts on Monday when he announced he was in Namibia (his first clue referenced skiing, so Curry and Morales thought he would be in a winter wonderland).

Lauer said he was in Madrid, Spain, and that "he wouldn't know he was there either," based on the clue Bell authored.

"It's a full on fiesta!" Lauer said of his day 2 location.

Here's the perfect "Where in the World is Matt Lauer?"; NYC to eastermost point of US, in Maine., then northernmost point in Alaska, westernmost point in Alaska, and southernmost point in Hawaii, then on day 5 stop at the exact center of the United Sates. What's interesting is; if this were to be done, 1 location is on the east coast, 3 location's are in the Pacific Time Zone, and one is in MTZ

I don't know about you, but I'm finding it obscene watching millionaires presented with expensive gifts day after day for us to ooh & aah over, and being flown country to country spending millions, while most people are having a terrible time keeping food on the table and a roof over their heads. Anyone answering "Where in the World is Matt Lauer?" with "Who cares?" have their priorities straight. What a terrible waste of money on an old worn-out bit touted out yet another year.

All the money spent & wasted on that dead old bit, "Where in the world is Matt Lauer", when times are so hard and people are barely scratching out a living is just obscene. People are barely keeping food on the table and these millionaires are getting expensive presents presented to them over & over for us to ooh & aww over? Are you kidding? I don't care if NBC does have a huge expense account as someone already mentioned on here as some sort of explanation. This is an in-your-face slap-in-the-face to the majority of their viewers. That's why you're getting so many "Who cares?" comments.
