Tyler Perry's supporters use his website to read and respond to his frequent blog posts, updates and personal messages. Although comments on the page range from extreme praise to outright criticism, one person has caused a flood of angry posts within the Perry community: Kim Kardashian.
The filmmaker's fans have taken to the site saying they will boycott his new movie "The Marriage Counselor" if he follows through with his plans to cast the reality star. Commenters say Kardashian is the antithesis of Perry's Christian and respectable image for a range of reasons, including her impending divorce from husband Kris Humphries after only 72 days of marriage and her exploitation of black males.

The movie is an adaptation from Perry's 2008 play about a married couple who's relationship starts to fall apart. Kardashian will be playing the main character, Judith's (played by Jurnee Smollet), coworker in the film. The cast also includes Brandy,Lance Gross and Vanessa Williams.
Despite the feedback, Perry is standing his ground and told TMZ he is keeping the E! Entertainment network star in the role.
"She is scheduled to work as planned."

Miles Austin
Kardashian switched teams after splitting from Bush -- literally. Reggie Bush
Kardashian found love once again later in 2007 -- this time with football player Reggie Bush. Their relationship drama was documented on the E! reality show, "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," and we thought Kim had finally found "The One." Nick Cannon
After her split from Ray J, Kardashian moved on with actor/rapper/comedian Nick Cannon. The couple reportedly split in early 2007 after the release of Kardashian's sex tape.
Cannon, who is currently a radio personality on New York's 92.3 NOW FM, tied the knot with Mariah Carey in April 2008. The couple welcomed their first children, fraternal twins, in April 2011.
Ray J
Also in 2006, Kardashian dated R&B singer Ray J -- who is the brother of singer Brandy. The relationship didn't last, but the public release of their infamous sex tape in early 2007 shot Kardashian into the spotlight...and eventually got her $5 million after settling a lawsuit against Vivid Entertainment.
Ray J went on to star in the VH1 reality show "For The Love of Ray J" in 2009, and continues to work in the music industry.
Nick Lachey

I am white and I love all the Tyler Perry movies but I will not see this one with Kim Kardashian. These people think they are gods or something akin to gods. (lower case) But, I can honestly say these are the most snobbish, selfish, self entitled people I have ever seen. I don't watch anything they are in and never will. My opinion cames from what is on the internet because any time I see them on my tv, it gets turn off or the channel changed. They think they are the personification of what everbody wants to be, but they are just an embarassment to most of us. Mr. Perry, you are alienating a hugh part of your fan base by doing this. I guess the Kardashians are giving you big chunks of money to let her be in your film. You fail on this one. So sad.

Tyler Perry will always have my respect for putting actors to work who were probably at their lowest point. Even tough Kim is not unemployed - everyone deserves a chance to grow - what makes her any different from anyone else? Personally, I will watch everything Tyler makes and I don't care who is in it! TP's movies are usually about brokenness, forgiveness and restoration. Kim's human, and right about now, she needs the same, like ALL the rest of us. TP has been at the bottom, and has risen from the ashes. I'm sure he knows what it means to be stand by someone in their darkest hours.

I'm confused as to why there was recent "scandal" because a former porn star volunteered to read to inner city youth in California as part of the program "Read Across America." By all accounts, the woman in question seemed to be reasonably intelligent. She was articulate in communicating her desire to contribute to the education of the youth in America, and she was also very clear about her past being just that - it did not define her. She has also turned her life around and is acting in mainstream television shows. This was portrayed in the media as very disreputable. Meanwhile, we have Kim Kardashian, no different than a porn star, made famous for her on-screen romp with a former boyfriend. She promotes the wrong message to young girls today, one of superficiality and shallowness; and, let's be honest, she is certainly not setting an example for our youth with her brains. Young girls see that they, too, can be untalented and one-dimensional but that they can get famous by having a "sex tape" or some grotesque physical attribute, like Kim K.'s cellulite-dimpled rear end. The media glorifies Kim Kardashian by making her more famous and accessible to our youth, while my earlier example is admonished. The hypocrisy of this is exactly what's wrong with Hollywood today. Now, this being said, I will never devote this much time, energy, or thought to Kim K and/or her clan of uber-slobs again. :)
