Michael Bolton may not be known as the hippest cat, but 20 years after taking Percy Sledge's 'When a Man Loves a Woman' to the chart top -- and winning the hearts of middle-aged ladies everywhere -- Bolton is finally enjoying some cool cred thanks to 'Jack Sparrow,' his hilarious collaboration with the Lonely Island.
Mere minutes after bringing the house down with a rousing version of Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah' at Ontario's Casino Rama in support of his latest album, 'Gems: The Duets Collection,' Bolton sits in front of a fireplace and excitedly describes his first meeting with the Saturday Night Live jokesters.
"We were just talking about what we could do that still retains the integrity of Lonely Island guys -- the shock value, basically -- and how do we do that and make sure that pays off without offending every person who has ever bought a record of mine," he tells Spinner.
