The Michelin Guide, one of the most well-respected restaurant review guides, released its Bib Gourmand list Wednesday, which rounds up their top picks for inspector-favorite restaurants deemed a "good value."
Fifty-six Chicago area restaurants made the cut this year, up from 46 on the 2011 list. Michelin said it “found an excellent and diverse selection of restaurants meeting the criteria for the Bib Gourmand across the city and in a few of the closer suburbs,” according to the Chicago Sun-Times. The Bib Gourmand list features restaurants where diners can get two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for $40 or less.
The full Chicago guide, including top restaurants that have earned coveted Michelin stars, will be released Nov. 16, according to the Michelin website.
