Robert Pattinson Talks 'Twilight' And Why He Got Into Acting: 'To Meet Girls'

Robert Pattinson Confesses Acting Drive

While millions and millions of teen and tweens await the highly teased, "Breaking Dawn Part 1," Robert Pattinson revealed on "The Late Show" with David Letterman that the very reason he got into acting in the first place was "to meet girls."

Looks like you can check that one off your list!

Letterman opened up the interview asking what the "Twilight" hunk sees for his future, to which he replied that he's working on a David Cronenberg film, where he stars as a billionaire currency trader, based on a Don DeLillo work. So grown up!

The late night host then went on to ask about the teenage girl fan-base. But, Pattinson stepped in and corrected him.

"It's not just teenage girls," he said. It's older than people realize. And the older ones are the far more passionate fans."

Young and old will unite on November 18, when "Breaking Dawn Part 1" hits theaters.
