Leonardo DiCaprio May Have His Eyes On Karlie Kloss

This just in: actors like models.

Page Six made sure to remind us of this fact this morning, with the breathless report that Leonardo DiCaprio, who turns 37 today, had his eyes on Karlie Kloss at the Victoria's Secret after-party on Wednesday night.

Although the Daily Mail recently speculated that Leo had already picked his latest model girlfriend, Madalina Ghenea, the New York Post reports that the actor partied on Wednesday lady-less, hanging out with single men like Kanye West and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

But he did, says Page Six, make eyes at the newly-winged Angel, 19-year-old Karlie Kloss. "He couldn’t take his eyes off her," said a "source."

Apparently he wasn't the only A-list actor spending time with a strutter: Jake Gyllenhaal spent time at the party with Izabel Goulart, also a Victoria's Secret model.

What does all this mean? Nothing, probably, except that good-looking Hollywood men tend to favor good-looking runway models. Like Kate Middleton's perfect hair, Anna Wintour's outfit repeats and Lindsay Lohan's inevitable court room appearances, it is just one of those indisputable Facts of Life.

It is so sad when an accomplished, successful man is too much of punk to deal with a woman who is on his level. Clooney, DiCaprio, and others don't go after their peers like Halle Berry, Tyra Banks, Renee Zellweger, Kate Winslet, etc. because these women intimidate them. They are more beautiful than their tween model girlfriends, so why don't they go after them? Men still have a long way to go.

When I was younger, being hit on by much older guys was both flattering and equally creepy. But I wonder if any of these women look at the big picture...if you're already carving out your own career and making your own money, why would you want to become another trophy on these guys trophy wall? DiCaprio...Clooney and the list goes on...why would you want to be stalked and collected like a THING? Ok, being with a superstar actor might be flattering at first, but you know what their history with women is, so why would you want to become a part of their hedonistic lifestyle? When they get bored or you become too old...usually any age past 30 or younger for some, they're moving on. Sitting a Victoria's Secret show and staking out fresh meat is a predatory...just sayin"

Wrong..good girls go to college, get an education and can make money to take themselves anywhere they want to go without waiting for a man to do it for them. Education will always trump beauty in the end...beauty may get you in the door, but no matter how beautiful you are in youth, beauty fades, but an education lasts forever.

Unfortunately, these women like being trophies. They gain access to a world of wealth, fame and yes men never telling you "no". They know the rappers and actors at the Victoria Secret shows are there on the prowl and they accept it. Everyone wants to be wanted and desired. In their case, though, it's for all the wrong reasons.

You have a point. That's why parents should teach their daughters to not relegate themselves to becoming a THING to be toyed with. Have enough respect for yourself and have your self-esteem in tact so that you won't feel the need to tie your identity to the type of men who are womanizing misogynists. That's really all these guys are and what they're doing is collecting beautiful women like art work, cars and homes, but the only difference is they usually keep the other items longer than they keep these women.
